." In English, we often use "pen" metaphorically to mean "writing." In my sentence, penmanship is a metaphor for the ability to produce high-quality prose.

It's a poor metaphor.
It adds nothing to the meaning of your sentence, and isn't even poetic imagery. Metaphors should enhance the text, not exist for their own sake.
"The pen is mightier than the sword" works well because it is using two objects to represent whole fields of study, craft and practice. It conveys those ideas more concisely and elegantly than would be possible if the same sentiment were to be written out literally.
In your post, "penmanship" is just a confusing synonym. A replacement for "writing" that adds nothing with its substitution.

Does anyone know what determines the final rank (Eager, Princess, Dispirited, Timid)?
And does anyone happen to know why I always end up with the Dispirited rank, no matter what I do? I even cheat to chapter 6 and try different behavioral tactics, but it sounds like I'm missing something.

Eager means you are equally nice and evil. So if you for example do one easy one impossible task you would likely get eager because Eager means Sugerbread and Whip are balanced.
So Princess likely means you are only nice to her and let her do easy tasks where she solved it.
And between Dispirited and Timid I can only speculate that one thing is where solve tasks but still get only critic while on the other task are impossible and get so the punishment for failure.

Mega link is hard dead under a, uh, most interesting and fun error code. Given this game isn't *that* genre, I wonder what in it set off their wtfomitor, or if someone uploaded something fun to the megalink (extremely doubtful)
I guess Mega.nz has hired one those of Wikipedia-type people. In Wikipedia, when you get into a dispute with a veteran long-timer, he'll insult you and at the same time throw links to their Civility policy at you. Sooner or later, you get blocked for harassment and incivility.
There's no reasonable explanation. I suspect that the BDSM aspect registers as abuse or such and violates either a perceived or real standard of decency, and so it got treated as being much more extreme than it actually is. Either that, or it's the classic case where someone looked at the girl being trained and decided her age was suspicious. If it was anything other than the game, I find it quite unlikely that it would have survived very long without being discovered as such.
I do have to wonder, if the user's entire account was taken down, is that what shows up for everything associated with that account, or does every other file on that account just get the message that the file is gone? I don't think this happens often enough for us to know for sure, but it is a possibility.
