Your story has a bit of irreverence to it so that's why you haven't had the "OH NO" crowd coming at you. If you're consistently poking fun at themes then people will begin to cut you some slack.
True. I never try to hatefully target anyone. Even the stuff with the furry isn't very extreme. It's more of a squirrel joke than anything. I'm just poking fun at my furry buddies.
