I'm actually friends with a descendant of his family.View attachment 4295942
My friend JJ here disputes you saying MO isn't part of the South. LOL! Though I'll give you it's not part of the Deep South. Also those camp fires those Missouri folks set in Kansas would also say otherwise. LOL!
And, yes - I meant more "Deep South". It's a bit different up there - they tend to be a blend of Midwest and South - sort of like brackish water along the coast: not really one, not really the other.
As for Kansas - have you been there? Burning it is a mercy!
If that was aimed at me, I'm quite familiar with American history - my comment is more about culture than what flag a state flew in the 1860s. Kindly move along.A lot of ignorance of American history on display from kibitzers ... but then, being a 'know it all' has become popular on the Internet these days.
Go back and study mid-19th century history before tapping your keyboard ... that's a real point of contention at the heart of the Missouri Compromise, the Civil War, MANY battles fought in the state, the Confederate based James gang, and issues right up to modern times.
