honestly i really liked the main character female protagonist and the game, game has good conceptual story with well thought out characters.

Probably as a creator on Patreon, it sees inactivity by creator so it send notification that monthly payment will be suspended? Whereas Patrons will just keep losing money to the system cuz "free money, why not"

Potreon does not pay her anything until the sanctions are lifted. She continues development for free. Yes, when the sanctions are lifted, in theory they should return the money
If you want to support her, that's fine; but pointing out the obvious that the project was abandoned without an ounce of communication for over two years and suddenly she reappears to be "working" on the game and it's all supposed to be fine and dandy?
Trust is lost. It's not toxic to point out the facts, even if it upsets her... Welcome to the real world. Momentarily, she might be working for free right now, but when the update arrives, I'm sure the support will pour in from Subscribestar or Boosty.
Let's be honest, have you done anything for free? I don't think so. The development of one 3D model can take 5 hours, or even more. And secondly, she didn’t abandon development, but slowly added something to the game. And she refused this not of her own free will, it didn’t work out because VPN was banned, maybe she was afraid that the state would punish her for developing the game, maybe there were other problems, she’s a person like us. And today, few people will do something for free, right?
When shine updates the game, i will support her and her project for sure.

Imagine shaming someone for getting blasted by international sanctions. That's like firing someone for missing work because the only bridge to get to work collapsed. Personally, I hope she does abandon this forum for good. Getting to download the game for free isn't good enough for you, now you want her to put in full time work for zero money? What is she supposed to pay her bills with? She literally posted about how she had to get multiple jobs to support herself. How entitled can you people possibly be? I bet you yell at McDonald's employees when the ice cream machine breaks.
I don't she should have to refund anything. If someone left their subscription to her on all this time, that's on them. Patrons have access to her discord where she said that progress came to a near stand still with the sanctions. They knew the situation. If the money was a problem for them, like it was with me, all they had to do was cancel their sub until something surfaced like I did. And an update did finally surface. So, I just went and re-subbed.
I'm not sure if any of you on this thread know this, but the sanctions weren't Shine's idea. She didn't call up NATO or whatever and be like "Hey, you know what you guys should do, nuke the dogshit out of all my income so I have to get multiple jobs, leaving me no time to work on my game."
No, you didn't understand me, I mean that she will be returned. And she doesn’t owe anyone anything, because they themselves voluntarily sponsored her. And in general, these are all little things, the most important thing is that despite everything that is wrong, she still returns to the development of her project.

She didn't put all her time in this project before, as well as didn't do it for "zero money", and won't have to do this now, what the fuck are you talking about? She can freely develop the game whenever she feels like it, and no one will say a word. Well, unless it'll take, let's say, 5 years to just restart or scrap the project in the end, as some H game devs do (if you know, you know). Or, unless she silently abandons the project. Ah, wait, this is exactly what happened.

I would understand if she was from ukraine instead, shelled by russians for 2 years straight, it would be considered a much more valid reason to just silently abandon the project, don't you agree? And even then, I know ukrainian indie devs who didn't stop the development of their games despite living in the cities that are constantly shelled by russians (Zaporizhya, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, etc.), but our little princess Shine silently abandoned her project for 2 years BECAUSE OF FUCKING SANCTIONS, LET'S FEEL BAD ABOUT HER, PEOPLE! You say this shit as if these sanctions were applied to her personally. It's ridiculous to say the least, I talk to russians on daily basis (not that I'm proud of it, just saying), and they talk about sanctions from time to time, bragging that they almost don't feel any of their effects on their daily life and that they're completely useless. They have the same life as they had before the sanctions, they're regular russian people just like Shine
