Personally, I'd go with a desktop for upgrade potential maybe a mini tower if you move about, but if a laptop is a must, the second one is a solid choice for future proofing, albeit you will struggle with that small amount of storage, you'd need an external storage device eventually.
Also be aware that laptop typically struggle with cooling issues when mixed with gaming.
I suggest getting a cooling pad.
