I originally did the crack for the console functionality, gallery was a bonus that came with it.
So after sharing a cracked build for free - without asking the dev if they're ok with that - you're now also expecting said dev to explain you what you did wrong? Pretty bold I have to say.
holy shit, you're some new kind of arrogant I don't think I've seen before. Why do you think the dev or anyone else has any right to say what other people do with their own computers and the software within them? What other things do you imagine you have the right to tell people they can do with their own property within their own homes? After Shiny did the minor discourtesy of releasing a build with certain features switched off, Kult had the good manners to release a patch that fixed that. Shiny releasing that build the way they did to try to convince a few extra people to subscribe to their patreon was a little unseemly, but understandable, especially given the economic situation of Russia. But releasing a crack/patch that fixes the deliberate sabotage is not doing something wrong, it's a meritorious thing to do.

Are you claiming that you are somehow a victim who is being harmed by people using their own computers in their own homes? How were you harmed? Perhaps you are a tiny gnome inside of my keyboard and are being crushed whenever I press the space bar.
The dev loves to play the good ol' victim card. It was the consumer's fault for not giving her even more money despite abandoning it for two years.
The part you're missing is that this kind of hacks is possible BECAUSE the dev gave you a Mono binary instead of IL2CPP. You think you're being a super smart H4CkZOR fighting the evil, when in reality, the dev could probably just prevent it with a switch of one button in their build options.

binaries like that are easier to work with, but meaningful obfuscation of code has been proven to be impossible. You seem to know a few little tidbits but you fail to grasp the fundamental underlying principles of what you are talking about.
I haven't taken anyone elses property though. The dev hasn't been harmed in any way, harm being deprivations of life, liberty, or property. All I did was overwrite a file that I had on my own computer. In what way was that similar to theft?
Firstly I'd just like to point out that I don't mind how Shiny handled the release, it definitely didn't hurt anyone. Shiny isn't obligated to make the game at all, much less share it, much less provide the free build with all the content in it which was so easily repaired to what seems to be full working order as far as anyone in this thread can tell. I am just pointing out that the dev has no right to complain about the crack, and the stuff about there supposedly being more content in the 0.6e build available for download through Patreon doesn't really add up. You can easily see all of the development posts from Patreon by using Kemono, and from what I've looked for, everything that is mentioned in those is in the cracked version of 0.6a. I am not saying that Shiny is definitely lying, but when 0.6e gets leaked we'll find out. None of that is complaining about not getting things for free, and none of it is acting like I'm entitled to anything I don't have free access to already.
he just stands near some house solid rock basically till 12am, i don't remember the exact spot... i removed the game, search near area with zombie places where you collect scraps, should take like min or two to find him, once you go near him just press E or F to take the item from him.

I've never worked with Unity stuff specifically, but a quick search indicates that IL2CPPDumper would make it possible to do the same tweak that was done for the crack if the dev were to switch to using IL2CPP instead of mono binaries, although it would definitely require some more work and some extra tools. You are right that for modding it'd be a bitch and a half though. A more reasonable solution for everyone, including the developer, would be to just not include the assets for the things they want to hold back from the public release.

No it would not just "require some extra work". IL2CPP removes all the variable names and optimizes everything to the point where the functions become unrecognizable. Have you ever seen decompiled C++ ? Not C++, decompiled C++. I'm sorry but I spend 90% of my time deobfuscating code for work, then 90% of my free time decompiling code to make mods. Specifically, I spent a good week trying IL2CPPdumper on Octopussy's games, and it didn't enable me to do anything more than basic Cheat Engine stuff. So when you reply randomly to my messages to tell me that "deobfuscation has been proven to be impossible", nah sorry but that doesn't sounds like a very useful discussion for me (not to mention the mods will nuke it for being off-topic).
