I think the premise of the game foretold of increasingly monstruous monster girl, with Pera being teased as early as the first update. With the first level being a fox girl the second an orc and the third a changeling with an unnatural true form the writing was on the wall that physical appearance would get wilder as the story progress.
Download the incest patch in the OP. Then unzip the file and put it in the game folder.

There were no such prerequisites in the game. The only furry there was a fox girl, and she only had animal ears and a tail. The orc woman is not a furry, and neither is the shapeshifter, who was mostly in human form. In addition, in previous chapters and art on Patreon, they rarely appeared, and there were no other non-humans there. Nothing indicated the appearance of more animal-like characters in the future.

The teaser at the end of the previous update and the fact that the next gardian get talked about and is explicitly stated to be a dragon girl should have given you some hints. Pera is also in the game from the beginning. The harpy is in line with what an harpy is and how you can make her look with daz assets and limitations. Non-humans have always been part of the game. But they are not the only humanoid that will be present in the future. So if some "furry" (not really IMO) are not your cup of tea I can say with confidence that there will be more, but also that they won't be the only women of interest in the game. Others are also projected.
This shouldn't give me any clues. I'm judging by what was in the previous chapters and on Patreon, and I saw all the art there. And everything was completely different there, without furries and non-humans. They were there, but in very small quantities. Don't pretend that the focus of the game hasn't changed. I just hope that it hasn't changed much.

You have to use the patch or you will get a bunch of errors.
According to the note accompanying the patch, it enables contents which are censored on some other site. Without it the girls are still mother and daughters but nothing "wrong" happens between them.
Hey, I wonder since dev used to release full chapters and he only did part 1. Does that mean we'll get part 2 sooner?
Apart from that update was nice dedinitely left me hungry for more when you compare the time it took to the content we got though. Especially since it didn't seem like a lot of branching was done. Correct me if I'm wrong but most of it was linear with some choices here and there to refuse scenes and to avoid some but that's it. I hope dev released part while having part 2 ready and just trying to maybe stabilize the new sandbox/rpg system and maybe fix some bugs.
