I did... WORD for WORD... exactly as you said. Got stuck on #2... After downloading the file from that thread, I extracted it. But there is NO folder with a file called "Game." This is all that I see after extraction (see attached). And before anyone asks, YES I made sure to triple check that I downloaded the version from that thread that was labeled as "Mac." I also tried the debug version. Same thing. Nevertheless, I assumed that you were talking about the "nwjs" file in my attached screenshot. So, I proceeded with the steps. But now, I'm stuck on step #4... That is, in the Resources folder, there is no file entitled "app.nw." In the entire thing... (see second attachment). So I have no idea what I'm missing...
Those instructions are a bit outdated. There used to be an app called
game in that folder. Now it's called nwjs, as you correctly surmised.
To get the game working, rename the
www folder from the windows download to
app.nw and then copy and paste that folder inside the
nwjs package (inside Contents/Resources). No replacement going on here, as
nwjs comes without an
app.nw folder.
Game used to do, so that's where the replacement confusion comes from.
Note: RPGM keep their save files inside app.nw. This means you have make sure the app is not quarantined by Gatekeeper, otherwise your saves won't stick.
To reduce clutter, you can remove all those lproj files.
