You are correct swewx this was the last which was the reason I “proofread“ before uploading. I didn’t know what to expect with Don since this is first finished story I read from him, but stated he want to re-explore the characters later so he left the ending open. Overall I felt like the chapter missing was something and felt incomplete. I did like how Don turned the whole thing against Harry with Archer able to smooth talk Courtney and blame the whole thing was her husband’s idea. Hope the same premise happen to Dan at the end.

Since he accessed their private information, I wonder the opportunity past the Williams’s locked doors is Lester saw a notification their house is about to be foreclosed or behind in payment. Then ”kind” Lester will swoop in the help pay their house note for a price.

That is exactly what I think, but, until it is paid back to him, Lester insists Sarah and he handle it without Dan, as his recent drunken tirade and incarceration (possibly even a sentence, depending on what happens on his court date - btw, really awesome idea is that Dan can't leave Cooke county without violating his bail arrangements, with a local bail bondsman as he couldn't wait for Sarah as he couldn't get a hold of her as she was out of touch all weekend long, fucking Lester. due to this, he can't get home to regulate Lester being at the house) will reflect badly on them. They end up handling it with Lester buying the house, but keeping Sarah's name on it, to insure her that Lester is on the up and up. However, they agree to put Lester's name in to replace Dan's as the homeowner to signify that Dan owes him the cost of the house. Lester adds one other proviso to Sarah and it is that he will be staying at the house now, with Sarah and he sharing the Master Bedroom and that Dan's stuff be moved over to the guest Bedroom and that since he is pissed that Dan changed the locks on him, he tells Sarah that he's tired of having to put him in his place, but this get the point across, finally.
