I haven't had time to read chapter 29 (in peace) yet.
In the meantime, however, I have read the comments of some readers and visitors to see where one or the other stands.
In the end, I came to the decision not to take part in these heated debates and to stay away.
Because I am convinced that - although this is a fictional story (sex story) - the comments largely reveal the characters of the commentators and, through their statements, perhaps also unconsciously hold up a mirror to their inner world and make it transparent.
If I were to write down my thoughts and views on the course of the story, I would inevitably offend some commentators because they would feel ‘personally attacked’.
Therefore: ‘No comment!’ from me...
I think that ‘Toxic Attraction’ is well on the way to becoming a ‘cult story’, despite the drop in standard in the last few chapters.

King, I hope you know I was teasing a bit. I don't read nor would I ever write a BTB story, however if that's a particular person's thing - then read away - I don't find the appeal but it's not my place to tell someone what they like or don't like.

In the final version Dan is even weaker than the alpha one, im gonna read for the ending but the plot in ridiculous and Dan change so much to please the hard cuck fan that's not even interesting. Probably a really dark ending, to bad cause DS promise a good ending at the beginning, but money is better. He's gonna dry the story with infinite sex chapters to earn money
Just finished it. Regarding add ons, liked that peephole was used, liked the extra dialogue during failsome, DID NOT like the almost slap and Dan-Sarah's reaction to it (DV is a personal turn off for me). Sarah's reaction is totally out of character and killed the very little sympathy I had for Dan. I understand DS wanted to punch up the tender moment that comes later, but this is the wrong way to do it, imho.
You're correct, I should not have phrased it that way. I am mainly into these stories for the corruption aspect, which _is_ brilliantly written, the way she spirals into slutdom. My turn off isn't the wife herself, or the cheating, it's the way Dan is humiliated. I would rather see him take back control and come out on top with his wife turned into a devoted slut, so maybe I'm just in the wrong genre here.
So lester cuts Sarah off twice in this chapter
“Lester. Lester,” Sarah moaned into his neck, “Lester. Lester, I lo-”
“Fuck Sarah. Cum for me baby,” Lester grunted, “Cum Sarah.”
“I know. I’m sorry,” Sarah said. “I lov-”
“Shhhh. Hush now, babe.” Lester shook his head and straightened his face
I hope DS doesn't just drop this for another few chapters like he's been doing recently. This should be brought up and she should say it in the next chapter

Nish there is nothing wrong with reading a redemption story, but it's a vast distance from BTB which is as Psiber pointed out -- akin to revenge porn. Let's divorce my next comment from TA specifically for a a moment. I have no issue with and have read some nice redemption stories on Lit-E, but in those stories the characters had earned their redemption. The issue I have is when the Wife/Husband is written as wishy-washy, fully on board, or non-existent that it is hard to find sympathy for them when they suddenly decide they want things to go back to the way they were prior to the inciting incident, especially when they were complicit or forced the downfall on the spouse.You're correct, I should not have phrased it that way. When a narrative like this occurs, it's on the author—not the reader—since they shape the story. Something I find I have to guard against in my own work.

So true. While I still want Lester to "win", it would be way more fun to see Dan fighting back...or Sarah for that matter.
Yeah, fantasy setting does it for me, I can't quite explain why.

I think maybe because it's a story, where your on the outside watching it unfold. I don't think they see themselves as the husband, maybe more like the husband's friend.that mite be why some readers get bent out of shape when it starts going off the rails. Like their trying to look out for them. That's how I look at it, I've never put myself as the husband but more like an outsider watching a Trainwreck.
Anyone got their hands on Executive Privilege ch 5 by madstories? I tried to use a third party payment to subscribe but didn't work .

I hear you. I understand the narrative concept, but it was a bit clunky. I can certainly see Lester, getting enraged at having his plans fucked up by Otis, but I think the final's description was too over the top. The anger fucking from the alpha was spot on in my opinion. The implied DV was unnecessary and the exchange in the alpha where Sarah said she was 'sorry' was enough of a submission on Sarah's part. In the final it make's Dan even more fucked as a husband for just letting it happen, instead of tackling or clocking Lester at the implication that he would physically abuse Sarah.

As I said the ring has continued to show it's purpose.
The spy is/was from Sentinel.
The following are just narrative tools to show the character's motives/traits and they've served their purpose:
Byron - to show Sarah that Lester was better (her words)
The landlord - to show that Lester has nefarious resources
Lizzie footage - was to show the audience Lester had control
Anal isn't a dangling item it's a scene we all know will show up eventually.
Now I'll give you the last item: that was a device that hasn't shown up nor has it been spoken of - so yeah it's a dangling thread. But then we haven't gotten written confirmation that Lester switched Sarah's BC pills, but this last chapter has inferred that he did. I think D/S drops the breadcrumbs and allows the reader to fill in the blanks. I'm not saying it's the right way to do it, but that's how I see his writing.
