Oh .. and wouldn't it be great if Sarah somehow finds Lester to be more tender and loving in lovemaking than Dan - being loved despite her own undoing.
Dan in this case would have his mind preoccupied by his spiraling control (thinking of Sarah at the theatre and aftermath), their family situation (financial), and deflating ego (failed threesome). So it's gonna be a combination of tender loving to bursts of uncontrollable angry jerks which totally disrupts how Sarah wanted to be held and assured in this trying time.
Sarah for her part, wanting to reconcile finds that it was best to fake through it. (Edit spelling)
How far it is from the giddy relationship in the beginning. And what's worse than not being intimate? Not being able to connect given the chance and have your partner respond the way they should. And that is the death knell of Dan and Sarah's marriage. Cause if the other aspects can be potentially salvaged, this one cannot - as it signals falling out of love.
