Welp, Kinderfeld is already two for two with me. They crank out solid work at a regular pace; while having a talent for writing enjoyable dialogue, creating likeable characters, and placing them in an interesting setting. I am here because I want to see what happens next; how these characters will bounce off each other and tackle their problems. So as far as I am concerned, the next update cannot come soon enough.

Just goes to show that when you have solid fundamentals, you don't even need erotica to get people in the door and invested. It's a lesson I wish a whole hell of a lot more people working in this space understood.

Agree, but N&T is better. For ToxiCity I have a very positive feeling. It's a great start.

An LSProdution, and surprised none of the modders have stepped in to do a mod for this yet. But the Universal Mods worked well enough for me to get a head start on this game, and get caught up with the Dev so far. Very interested in seeing where this goes. Knowing the 2 previous games I've played, things are going to get very freaky as it goes along, and interested in this ride. Thank you so very much for this, and looking forward for more!!!

Okay, now that most of the holiday celebrating is over (yeah, we still have New Years, but we can work around that), we can focus on TOXICity 0.02.0. While the first release was intended to whet your appetite and give you an introduction into what the story may have in store, the next release will continue establishing the mood and revealing more and more of the dangers of the cast's situation.
Let me clarify something that should become clearer as you play: Relationships in TOXICity are meant to be complicated. But, they're not always what they seem at face value. Even people who appear immediately unattached have deep issues that have to be managed. You must get to know these people and learn about their lives. This is especially true with Kallie, who requires you to build up multiple stats before she opens up to you about personal issues.
I will also say that we're doing a lot of on-the-fly learning about using HS2 Studio over HS1, and improvements should be noticeable as we progress through the game. 0.01.0 feels pretty basic, especially considering the scenes and content we're building for 0.03.0 and later. Both programs may have a similar setup and features but the way certain visual elements are achieved are vastly different. For example: making a flashlight beam visible used to just be a transparent item attached to the flashlight. Now it's a volumetric light source that has to be adjusted. As we continue, there's going to be a lot of toying with mods and plugins to achieve the story we want to present.

TOXICity 0.02.0 update #2

All right, folks, we are deep into the work for 0.02.0, which expands the experience from the initial release. Laura joins John and Kallie in their vigil inside their office as they attempt to sort out what the hell has happened and what their next move is. In Chapter Two, you'll get time to learn more about your allies through how they react to the situation.
Regarding technical aspects, we still have a few items to implement, like the scene gallery, which will also be available from the Main Menu. The whole user interface is meant to be minimalist as we didn't want this title getting bloated, appearance-wise.
Also, we've got some additional music banked for when we need to add it to the game. And let me say that it's been a challenge to find tracks the work together while not sounding too much like the stuff that we used in our previous projects.
We're also taking great care with the story and plot pacing, making sure to open up the experience over the length of the first act, introducing more of the cast, and establishing their dynamic as you go. And just when you might be settling in, it's time for something to ratchet up the tension. Whereas 0.01.0 was meant to set up the story hook, 0.02.0 starts to lay down the underlying elements of the characters' personal issues. By 0.03.0, you'll start to see the beginnings of payoff for certain stats you should be cultivating. Exterior threats will also start to make themselves known.

TOXICity 0.02.0 update 3 and release schedule
New

All right, we're in the final stretch of uploading the latest builds to our filesharing accounts. Luckily, it's early enough in development that none of the files are too big. Wait a year, and let's see how much time I need to account for to get the latest files loaded.
As we familiarize ourselves with the new rendering software, older content will be reworked. Even now, as we start building scene files for 0.03.0, we see plugins and mods that we should be using to improve the experience. Also, the Achievement system feels a little like it's barely working, so we'll probably have to address that in the next build.
Story-wise, TOXICity 0.02.0 focuses on the character dynamics between people who know each other, but not so well that there isn't new wrinkles to be uncovered. Think of it like this: How many of your coworkers do you really know? Do you know what they're dealing with outside of the 9-5? What kind of problems do you think would rear their ugly heads after a few days of being stuck together?

Both of the women encountered so far are girl next door pretty versus model beautiful, which makes them fit into the office environment and their current circumstances more easily, IMO.

I'm looking forward to getting to know them better!

I mean, if your the relationship is distant by year 2, without a change in direction is it surprising or contradictory that it would still be troubled in year 3? While a little incongruent, what's written isn't technically wrong. It should probably still get touched up with an editing pass though.

This is to fix a known issue where achievements may not pop. It's a fix that's already in 0.03.0 but if you drop this file in the game folder and go back to before the end of the chapter, it should pop. Also, it may reset your Chapter 01 achievement, but this will fix the issue going forward.
