One big difference here is the enemies are only the monsters - no "bad humans" who were the bigger threat in N&T.
Yet. It's clear there are other humans around and it came up several times that the humans around would likely pose a larger threat. I'd say it's only a matter of time before they run in some not so friendly humans.

In N&T the 'zombies' were also a larger threat early on, while it shifted nearly completely to bad humans by the time they were leaving the city.

Not yet anyway.
Humans around are threats, huh? just like the boy you saw killed by the burned one?

Seriously,

either you guys just forgot about the witch, or you simply haven't played the last 2 updates, I guess.

Kind of did the same on The Walking Dead. A few seasons in the zombies were basically a nuisance most of the time.

Not sure why you're trying to start fights. Just bored? I said the humans around aren't threats yet. The boy wasn't a threat. The witch, like Shelly, is creepy but not a threat so far.

The problem is that the group has to travel to new buildings. While between buildings, the main threat is the burned ones and probably the witch. But every time they enter a new building they risk an encounter with another human(s). It might be the fourth LI, but it might also be a nasty survivalist with a gun.

Edit: Once inside a building, some other person (with a gun) might try to enter and relieve the MC of his possessions, his girls and his life. The MC and his crew might not be the only people travelling from building to building.

:ROFLMAO: Methinks you gave up on Laura exactly one scene too soon, because what you wanted is pretty close to what happened in this last update.

Oh, well!
Hey man, just back to say you were right! I hadn't seen the shower sex scene as I stopped after the first two ones with Laura, but already in that scene some of my concerns were addressed, then, as the story progresses, the conversations with Laura address more and more of my issues with her and how she treated the MC so.... thanks!

I still do not like how she behaved in the beginning, but I am glad to see the devs addressed that and that my view of her was wrong. I was probably too fast to judge her and to decide to not engage with her again after the second time she said it was a mistake.

TOXICity 0.10.0 update 1

Here we are, and the group is on the road again, which doesn't lend itself to a lot of introspective moments, but it's necessary to move the story along. That means a lot of reacting to the world that they find as they try to cross campus and continue to the hospital. So, teaser screenshots for this month will probably give away some stuff, but hopefully nothing too spoiler-ish.

I once watched a documentary on the making of the movie Die Hard that proved to be an interesting insight into content creation. While the production crew and scriptwriters had an idea of what they wanted to do (it was loosely based on a book), they were still writing the script as they were shooting. This process included figuring out how to end the movie and re-writes based on budget limitations. Also, they had to re-shoot one scene because the ambulance that was later in the movie was nowhere to be found before.

What does this mean for TOXICity? We have an overarching plot line and we know where it ends, and we have several tent-pole scenes we want in the story, but there's definitely an element of Die Hard to this, where we're filling in holes as we reach that specific part of the build. A lot of the conversations are shaped by where the characters are at, emotionally, and what developments preceded that window into the story. This means that further along, you get some real character-driven moments where earlier developments shape their responses in a hopefully believable way.

Thanks for your interest and patronage,
-Kinderfeld

I am in love with this style of story much like N&T but I do have to admit I really hope we don't go the route of "the greatest danger was people all along!"
That feels very played out and is uninteresting in my opinion. I feel greater focus on the fantasy elements is superior to just having to have the characters always be seconds away from just being shot or something boring.

This game gives me more Silent Hill vibes, I don't think it's gonna be people, mainly because we haven't really been meeting that many survivors in general to be a threat and also because the mist monsters have been the bigger threat so far.

Even humans like the dead one can be a threat in this situation. Realistically speaking someone unstable is a dead weight in a situation like this. It's like when someone is drowning, the panic reaction is to grab anything to stay afloat even if that anything is the person who is trying to save you.
Imagine that you're trying to run from some burned ones with the MC's group. Someone like Shelly would lock the door of the nearest building if she's the first one to reach it, while Lauren would stay around being an idiot instead of trying to get out of the streets

Let's interrupt the beginning of (American) football season to give you all an update on this month's release. With the NFL kicking in, don't bother contacting me on Sundays (kidding, mostly). Also, fuck AJ Brown for catching one reception and screwing my fantasy team even before the weekend actually started.
At this point, players should expect future episodes to be packed with drama. Having established the main cast and their relationships with each other, we can focus more on their trek out of the city. Don't be surprised to find trouble around just about every corner from now on.
With this update, we've added a voice channel and moved all the sexy moans to that channel, meaning that the voice volume option now actually has an effect. So, if you like the sound effects but not the moans, you can have your cake and eat it, too.
