Something like the Dies the Fire series by S M Stirling - though that went back even earlier (no powered technology whatsoever and no gunpowder or other explosives)
I guess we'll know for sure that garage lady has joined the group when she gets in line to kick Andrew's ass.
I wouldn't be sold on the idea if the dev hadn't told us we'd meet the next LI in 0.11. And that she'd be controversial. And that witches wouldn't be LIs. I think that points inescapably to the conclusion that garage lady is the next LI, but I'm open to other suggestions.Oh, if only there was a plot twist where the garage lady wasn't LI.

Shelley mentions early on that a few guys from the male dorms apparently just kinda went berserk when the fog came in and ran outside to apparently die. The group that came by later were the ones who didn't do that.
Which has some implications.
EDIT: You also gotta remember some were sick before things went down like Otis. If that is what happened to every fat dude then like 40% of the town is dead near instantly with US obesity rates.
Well, we haven't seen all that much of the town. The new buildings are near the school, about the only thing active in the town.
The new Love Interest is the gas station. The MC realizes his calling and refuses to leave town.

TOXICity 0.12.0 update 3 and release schedule

All right, here we are with TOXICity 0.12.0 about to come out. Between this and the 0.99.0 build for The Interim Domain, we have a lot of stuff hitting in a short amount of time. Hopefully, we can keep track of everything.
TOXICity 0.12.0 finally gives you girl #4, though you'll probably spend most of the chapter wondering if you can make any headway with her. Much like we did with Sydney and Hana for Now & Then, we've been keeping name and face reveals under wraps so there's a little bit of mystery to this. As mentioned before, the addition of this new character shifts the dynamic between everyone, and there'll be some noticeable changes in how everyone in the group acts going forward.
Here's the release schedule for 0.12.0 (all scheduled for 11:59 am EDT release):

Genuinely one of if not the best devs in the AVN scenes. Also happens to be a great writer who can build some genuinely great characters and emotionally powerful moments in their games.

True, all the game be like "it will take at least 6 months for the next version", here they deliver each month, how the hell can they do that ? And the quality is good too, of course not on the scale of eternum but still good
"Much smaller updates" is a big part of that answer.
The update, too me still feel quite ample. And they can jam at least 2-3 scene each update. That's say, the realism of those game make it hard for me to goon, like in other game I would go "hell yeah creampie" here I would "fuck no, in this world ending situation, please don't make any baby"
That's a matter of opinion, but there's still far less content. I can play through a TOXICity update in 15-30 minutes; an update to Eternum or Ripples has hours of new content. That isn't a value judgment either way, just a different way ILS chooses to handle updates vs. Jestur or Caribdis.

Different types of developing but both very valid, It's when they go +1 year between updates that it starts getting painful to me at least.
