well it is ridiculous etc since it is meant that spidey and mj are item like superman and lois and batman and catwoman, superman has dated wonder woman and lois's sister but still he ended up with lois, batman has dated many women and batman had kid with 1 of them but still he has relationship with catwoman (it's weird and complicated but still).
