Happy holidays everyone! I am excited to show off Transfigure in 2025! I hope you are hyped for what will probably be one of the most complex visual novels ever made.

My friend, at first I was going to say we still have to wait for another year, but I subconsciously glanced at the date and only then did I realize that there are only two days left until 2025.
I'm very sorry for my expression. I don't know English. My native language is Chinese. I'm communicating with you through a translation software.
First of all, please allow me to express my love for this game. However, my favorite mode of play is HTML.
But I'm also very much looking forward to your brand new 3D game.
After waiting for so long, I have always believed it's worth it. I firmly believe that in the future, you will definitely bring us a game that will shock and delight us all.

Thank you for the vote of confidence! I thought one of main drawbacks of the new game is that it will be harder to translate but it may get localized into some popular languages later on if there is demand. That may not be necessary though since I just tested the game using Textractor with the clipboard function on and it works so you will be able to easily translate the game to whatever language you prefer.

The demo has the start of the main Mitch path. Eventually, the game will have never before seen content including the romance path and a few other areas our favorite asshole appears in. Like a dirty penny, he also pops up in a number of other routes too.

Donations are important but completing the game is my highest priority. This is why I went way ahead and had to complete my feature list before the demo can be released. I've also almost added all of Transfigure's 20 novels of written content to the game. First impressions are key and I want as much effort as possible to compliment my upcoming Steam page. The old school business model of I work my beak off, get a couple donations to avoid starvation, and third party sites take all the real money is not sustainable in the long run.

Idk why devs dont just make their own website link it to people and take their own donations. patreon is fine i guesss in that it lets you take multiple currencies easy but once any real money is flowing should make your own site. could even link a crypto wallet for donos. never really made sense giving third parties as much of the donos.

Legacy Patreon is actually fairly priced and I think it works because it is convenient. I feel like a crypto wallet is considered by a lot of people to be a hassle. Making an extra page is an extra cost and a time sink. If I manage an extra page on top of SS and Patreon it adds up even if things are mostly a copy and paste.

The hosting dilemma is even more complex. Transfigure has been played millions of times and a lot of the media pieces are high res. That is a decent chunk of bandwidth. The big sites run ads on my html game as well others. In order to compete and make it sustainable I'd have to do the same. But this where I had to stop because there are multiple free hosts of my game without ads, meaning a usually generous 3rd party that likes my game is bearing the cost. I'm not going to do something worse than what already exists. This is why I am trying to convert the html game into a funnel for the 3D game that I can more effectively monetize.

TangoTF So you are going full 3d renpy version of TF? I just looked back a couple pages before I did my reach out to you a couple months ago and saw you were posting before summer about the html version being on the backburner to the 3d version.
Sorry if you answered this before but will there be rendered videos or just pics for the renpy version?

Yes, the VN has 3D art. There are a lot of renders. Some of them will be made into animations depending on time, budget, and demand. Animating everything would take multiple years at current rates so I can't really do that given the scale of the game. I did experiment with AI and the results were not great but there are still a lot of models to test. I'd love some more R & D time to test different methods but I want to keep the style consistent and I want to finish the game before we all become immortal floating heads in jars.

Happy new year anyway im looking forward to both versions of the game the renpy and the html if you go back to that version after the renpy one is done im Edgar to cheek out the renpy one when it done keep up the good work on the game
