How the hell did u guys start to argue about the game like this wtf.

The truth is, to this day I still don't understand why Takeda made this work an RPG and not a VN because the gameplay basically doesn´t exist. (I guess it´s easier to program it ? not like he´s wrong for wanting to do it like that)

Talking about Kurt´s lack of substance, he was never intended to be a complex character at all, the game just does the necessary writing and show you a bit of his life and the development of his relationship with the girls for the sake of the blow hitting harder when the NTR starts.

That the game had the potential to be one of the greatest writing peaks created by humanity and also one of the best RPGs ever?
Probably yes, but he never wanted it to be like that, the game works with what has already been stablished, and that´s enough, also, I don't think anyone came here looking for a life changing work, they just wanted to jerk off.

Doesn't have to be groundbreaking. But the reason works are able to be shoveled out in these states are because people keep eating that shit up. There's gotta be complaints and criticism or nothing will ever change. Which is why I get pissed off when people just shrug off everything just because something is "good enough" when it could be "better". Even if that product is (Objectively) low effort in everything other than artwork. You can still enjoy the product, you can even try to argue that the gameplay and story aren't that bad.

If you can't defend something through argumentation and objective fact then you shouldn't be responding to someone's criticism in the first place. Just leave it be. Don't try to claim that the game is "good" as is simply because you enjoy it. Say its good for the art, say its good for character designs.

Don't try to argue that the game which doesn't make use of the game engine its running on is somehow good in gameplay and wouldn't work better as a visual novel. Because that just isn't true. Don't try to claim that a product is good simply because its how the creator made it.

I doubt it. It's not really relevant and I don't see Takeda going back for a flashback with the massive backlog of events he still needs to do.

Edit: now I remember that the backstory is that she fucked some merchant to get a present for Kurt or something like that. I don't remember if this information came from the story or the extra material he posted in fantia.
