So, genuinely trying to understand here, dosent translation just need someone who understands Japanese and English to translate all dialogue? I never understood why its always mtl or simply slow to translate
Sounds like you don't have any idea how much work translating stuff is then. It takes awhile, the japanese language alone has 3-4 different parts of it's language. Kanji, hatagana, hirigana, etc.

Dang ,my bad I guess. Would the translation be easier if it was already translated in another language like Spanish?

I mean the easiest way to answer all your questions is to simply pick up a game and try it for yourself, IMO.

Longer answer:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

If anyone's still interested.
Here's a Work in Progress translation patch. I'm working off this partial as a starting point.

What's translated:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

How to apply patch:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

If you choose to use this patch, I recommend starting a new game (unless you were already using my previous patch, in which case things should work fine). I coded in several new variables to deal with gendered pronouns, since you can pick either a male or female protagonist. That gets assigned on character selection. So if you use an already existing save, note that some text might have weirdly placed "0"s. There was probably supposed to be a gendered pronoun there.

I tried following the steps to apply your patch, but after replacing the files within data and js, all audio got cut out from the game. Was there something that I did wrong? I used the unpacker on the executable of the original file so I'm currently at a dead end.

Yikes. I just tested again and it worked for me, so... Let's try the obvious things first:

a) Check in-game volume settings.

b) Check that you're patching the right thing. (After unpacking with Enigma VBU, everything you need (including game .exe and whatnot) should be in the output folder, which is %DEFAULT FOLDER% by default. Make sure you're patching the files in there.)

c) Try running in Japanese locale.

If none of those work:
Go to "www/data" and open the System.json file in Notepad. Scroll to the bottom and tell me if you see something like this:

Yeah unfortunately I see the same exact thing that you have? I might just find a different source for the game? I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Might just sit through the long download time overnight and see if I still have the same issue. But i appreciate you making the effort to troubleshoot!
Heres a pic to show that I do have the same coding

If you open up the www/audio/bgm folder, do the files inside have the .rpgmvo extension?

(Also, I'm assuming you already tried the other stuff and nothing worked?)

OH I may have found the issue. The original file I downloaded from sukebei was the 1.0 version of the game not 1.4. I downloaded from the link you posted yourself and it's all working perfectly fine. Thank you again for the troubleshooting dumb mistake I completely overlooked if that was the source of the issue.

Patch updated, see my previous post for details (and to download).

At this point, what's left is:
- Battle defeat events
- Capture/defeat events in the dark room
- Map events
- Lots of dialogue

I'll prioritize the events, after which things might slow down a bit. There's a lot of dialogue, especially if you include the diary entries. I do plan on finishing all of it, but I figure at least finishing the events will make people happy enough.

Bonus fun fact: It turns out this game is actually a prequel to one of Circle Tekua's other games. How about that.

Thank you very much for translating this! I'm eagerly awaiting its completion (y):D
