Fixed it. I guess F95 doesn't like webp files.

From what I recall demo didn’t have any issues with just MTL so translation shouldn’t be too difficult hopefully

any idea how to bypass this? or i suspect it might be locale issue?

Having the same problem, I think it's the audio file that's specifically in that file. I'm not sure what's wrong, but I'm not sure if the file are supposed to be named like that either

Did you make sure to extract files with Japanese locale?

Ahhh i just re-extracted it on winrar, ctrl + e, then pick the japanese option, and it worked like a charm!

mtl broke a lot of the game for me, but it gave me the jist of what to do so I can just play the untranslated version.

It works perfectly besides the small nick pick of the game manuel not being about to display all the english text
