If anyone's interested I can put the pdf of the article here since its only restricted to followers only and not paid. Although, I summarized most of it on my previous post.
Edit: I went over the Japanese response with a dictionary and I think what they're trying to say is this:
"We want to create enough space in the game for players to develop some empathy for the MC, without having too much content that it feels unnecessary or making it feel like a drag or blue-balling the player too much."
Essentially, I think they recognize that some players like to go straight to the action, while some players want to role-play a bit more or whatever and are trying to figure out the proper length of a "preamble" to cater to both sides.
