You know that makes it sound like you'd rather it stay illegal and Devs break the law than it become legal via the culture becoming accepted of it? (The age old law hasn't been re-appealed since it makes anyone going for it sound like they are an pervert) Additionally it would mean that Devs wouldn't be able to use DLsite (the main site for Asian Devs) as that enforces censorship (and checks for it) and while some got past that it's had to be off platform and in an disconnected way to their DLsite page. (Like just a tweet)

That's old news, read their latest post. Since December the dev has gone back to work on the current game.

im opening the start-up file and pasting the code in the folder into it, but nothing happens. am i doing something wrong

Here, I removed the DRM using the tool https://f95zone.to/threads/drm-removal-tool.40612/, I don't know if it works for you guys.
If it still asks for the key, use the one in the game folder.
If nothing is open, I have no idea.

You could try opening the startup file and entering the code. Afterward the game starts with no trouble and from then on you can straight up open the .exe file

After using the tool, the startup file is gone. So if it still asks you for the key, just download eixa file, open the startup, and use the key.
In my case the startup file is still there but I can directly open the .exe file and from then on play with no trouble. So yeah, be sure to open the startup file first and enter the key before anything else.
By the way I'm kinda stuck after rescuing the girls from the goblins like someone already mentioned in the thread. Anyone knows where to go next?
EDIT: Somehow restart the game allow me to return to the destroyed base, talk to the guy to complete the quest. Game is still quite buggy it seems.

Ye no the key has either been disabled by DLsite or doesn't work any longer from too many uses.

I wonder... if somebody activated their game, and then uploaded that activated version, would that game remains activated on other devices?
