Thank you so much for the awesome, awesome work you've done! Unfortunately, I'm still getting crashes in combat from the DMTL2.2 that you posted above. Is the DMTL2.1 that supposedly fixes this still available somewhere?

2.2 should include the fixes of 2.1 so maybe I missed something.
When exactly does it happen?
Please post me a screen of the error, and if you can, a save just before a situation in which you can easily reproduce it.
Thanks for the fast reply! I'm actually getting errors in just about every combat. I've attached two examples of the combat error (Error1.png and Error2.png), but I can generate more if you need them. Please let me know if you'd like a specific save file instead. Otherwise, this seems like a generic error that occurs in all combats.
I'm not sure if it's related to the other error I'm getting (as seen in Error3.png), but that's another game-breaking issue that comes up in certain dialogue scenes. I can attach a save for where that's being generated as well.

I think that is a system locale issue.
It keeps spamming ???????? in those errors as if it cannot even read the names. You most likely have corrupted file names.
Your system needs to be able to display non-unicode Japanese characters.
Please make sure your "system locale" is set to "Japanese(Japan)", re-download the game and DMTL, and then try again.

So, changing the system locale helps resolve some of the issues, but this crash still occurs consistently. It seems to replicate whenever an EX or Double EX turn comes up in combat specifically.

From the testing I've done so far, this definitely fixes the EX and Double EX crash. However, it's introduced two new issues. Neither are game-breaking so they're not critical fixes, but they do make the game a little more difficult to play. The first is that the menu is no longer being translated. The second is that text no longer stays contained in the textbox, making the end parts of longer sentences unreadable.

From some preliminary testing, I think DMTL2.4 fixes everything! I'll keep an eye out for anything else as I continue to do deeper tests. Thanks again!

Sorry for necro but which version exactly? Or assuming it's the final version, is there anywhere to find the final version of the game? The one available on top only mentioned updates up until 2014 so I assume we don't have the final version here?

The one I worked on was from a now dead mega link from ULMF. I don't think anyone here ever bothered to re-upload it.
It was the latest version, and I think it still is, but I can't be 100% sure because the dev stopped documenting patches on DLsite.
The included "はじめにお読みください" (Please read me.) file dates the last patch to 2021/10/9.

I do not have the original game anymore, but I still have a dev copy if you want.
It's essentially the same except all assets are decrypted and stuff like that.
If you can't extract it, update your 7zip to the beta branch. Also make sure you have your system locale set to Japanese(Japan) because this is cp932 encoded.

I just found a version online which has the assets of the added chars but I haven't played it yet and the game doesn't come with the .txt files so I can't tell whether it's the latest ver. Will upload later
