Yeah, I have the RPG Maker vx RTP downloaded. Glad to know I'm not the only one stuck in the same situation.

The game takes a while to load, and only loads if the window is focused. Otherwise it will stay in a black screen forever. So make sure to focus the window and give it at least 10 seconds.
Also for anyone not seeing text, that's generally due to not using japanese locale. I wonder if I could feasibly get around that issue by changing the font or something... I never really considered it

What do you mean by focusing the window? I've had this be the only executable running on my pc with no luck for a few minutes, and it's still a black screen. Edit: Scratch that, I just tried to re run the game after fiddling with some settings, and now it's working? I'm not too sure why I struggled before. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like the patch hasn't been applied but otherwise you would be good to go. Let me know if there's anything unclear about the installation steps
hey sooooo, there is lit no text anywhere, like the text for the menu dosnt even show up, only the menu pic. im quite confused, heres what it looks like.
Probably need to change locale to Japanese. If you scroll up a bit, you can see a lot of people talking about it
First of all, I'm really glad I saw that exchange on this page about just needing to be patient for the game to load from black screen on launch, since otherwise I probably would have figured I just messed something up with the install process (very possible, to be fair!). Thanks to everyone involved in that!
I do have another issue / question though, which I didn't find after a couple key-word searches in the thread, so apologies if it's already been addressed. Does anyone have issues with / tips on resolving the music being 'choppy'? It's not even *all* the music; it started out very much that way, but when I got from the city to outside the house, the track the game switched to then played totally normally. As soon as I entered dream-world though, that track went right back to choppy.
I have a vague recollection of having had this same sort of seemingly random issue with some other RPGM maker game, so I'm kind of afraid that it's somehow me-specific, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask on the off chance it was a known / solved issue.

Gonna leave this post here anyway on the off chance I get help, but sounds like more a tech-support thing than a porn website thing, hah.

Since someone found some untranslated text and I didn't want to upload a release just for that, I started editing a bit more of the succubus dialog, especially the battle start dialog. I'll probably finish that little update soon after Christmas. Feel free to let me know if there any any particular issues that need fixing and I can include them in the update
Seems to start up mostly fine then after selecting to watch the opening scene I get two tiny windows pop-ups, one with a japanese file name in Graphics/Tilesets and then one saying "No such file or directory - Graphics/Tilesets/[more japanese text]
I have the newest patch 1.20 installed, the English patch seems to be working, and I downloaded the RPGMaker XP RTP linked here.

Pretty sure that's an issue with RTP nonetheless. If there are difficulties with the configuration, you can also try dumping the RTP files into the game folder itself
Yeah I did think of trying that, even confirmed the specific filed named in the error was moved there and still doesn't seem to work :\

This doesn't seem an error with rpg maker. Unzip the game again, start it without the mod and try it.
If this happen without the mod the issue is the original game, but if it works fine try to apply the english mod again.
All this with your pc set in japanase locale ofc.
i have a problem with the game when i do certain battle i have this error message : "section232:809:in '[]' no implicit conversion from nil to integer" someone know the cause and how to fix it?
If you tell me exactly where and when that happens, I can take a look at it. Or if you see an error_log.txt file in your game folder, that might be enough to tell where the issue is

Not for now. I have a lot of other things to work on and the mod would be really time consuming to keep translating. If anything, maybe I would merge current translations with latest mod version, but it seems like not that much has happened on that front. wiz, the one who made the game, tweeted that the way AI is being used for the mod is problematic (because it's using art as training data without permission like many generative AIs) so the modding community has been busy thinking about what to do, it seems
