I'm not a moderator, uploader, or part of staff, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
You can basically completely fuck up the template and your thread can still be approved because whoever is checking your thread will fix it for you. Also if you have upload problems you do not need to provide more than 1 hoster either. (This isn't ULMF, Moderators actually do work here.

)
Make a thread in the Game > Request section and just try to follow the template from the
game uploading rules as good as you can, then report your opening post as "Game Update" and in the "Additional information" box write something along the lines of "Thread needs to be checked, moved, and needs additional download mirrors. As the translator I would like to keep ownership of the thread to be able to add notes."
(The last bit only if you actually care about that obviously. As the translator you can always request ownership of a thread, even afterwards via ticket.)
But I would make sure that your translation is actually working flawlessly before doing that though. Because trying to get a thread's existing download links updated if you can't upload them yourself can be a bit of a nightmare.
(Although if you own the thread you can also link to a patch fixing the issues, instead of trying to get the main download links updated.)
