Wolf RPG [transltion request] Anasteema's tea party

I swear I got a notification for this thread but there doesn't seem to be a new message....

Anyway, it appears the scenes for this game were translated by Overdon/zoozonic a couple years ago. Looks like a lot of the scenes were removed from his pornhub account because of the content, but you can google Anasteema Tea party and his name to find them re-uploaded elsewhere. Doesn't appear to be much chatter since the update a few months ago.

That translation is one of the best and nobody has any idea where he got it from; it's not machine translated for sure. He never said where got it from either.

I'm pretty sure he did it himself. From what little digging I did, he seems to be part of a group that does translations but doesn't publicly release them; something about a discord they use. He seems to only release videos to avoid discouraging people from buying the game.

No idea why they wouldnt drop a TL patch. Especially for the handful of us who actually bought it AND the DLC on dlsite and are bummed given the dev openly said they werent going to do a ENG TL for it themselves.

If he released most of the scenes translated anyhow refusing to release a TL then is absurd. Like.... you already shared the core of what people wanted anyhow. Anyone at this point still trying to get the TL are likely just wanting to enjoy what we actually did pay up for.

Did some digging and found a site that's hosting an upload of the game with the voice patch. It's ver. 2.0, so not the absolute newest version.

Yeah succubus prison was on another level entirely, I hope they do more games set in the same world.

There is a person who did their own TL, but thus far it was only released via videos of the scenes on a pornhub a while back as was mentioned. I was confused as to why THAT person didnt release their TL as a patch or otherwise, given some of us bought it and the dev has on multiple occasions said there is no TL in the works anyhow (as you even mentioned once again).

The game has been out for three years, with the DLC for two and a half years now. There won't be an official TL at this point, and Wolf is a pain to work with for most people (plus its a niche game/content to boot), the only patches were bug fixes. It just sucks for those of us who supported the game we likely won't see a fan TL dropped even at this point due to minimal interest.

I remember seeing that vid, I don't think its an actual in game translation, they just put text over the dialogue after recording it in game

I saw that translation and it was made by zoozonic (God only knows where he is), he only does fan translations. In fact, I think of the videos you're talking about, he just didn't do the translation in TL, he only put the translated text on top of the video in Yes (from what I've seen that's what he did) but I don't know anything about his whereabouts anymore

Someone alluded to there having been a TL in a inner circle. Perhaps its not the same as the zootronic ones then, (never saved them only viewed a couple of them way back when) but if there was a TL done in a group that keeps them to themselves for the thinking releasing it publicly will harm sales.... well it's a bit past that point.

Main thing is.... the dev isn't going to drop a TL. They said even back then it was unlikely, and with the DLC there being zero hint of it, there's simply not enough potential sales that its likely they would do so vs other potential projects. Outside of someone possibly stepping in and giving it a shot, which pulling apart and doing it with Wolf is a lot more of a pain in the ass than Penpy/RPG (I've even gone and done halfassed MTL and tweaked/edited via yandex of RPGM stuff so a game was at least legible)... seems unlikely for us sadly.
