It's not simple because TrapQuest is not like a Ren'Py or HTML game with a single file to run. TrapQuest runs like a console game. You need the console (an interpreter like wingit-135) and a copy of the game itself (of which there are 5 different versions). The simplest instructions for running this game are

The reason it's all so complicated is because TrapQuest was written a long time ago in an engine that quite frankly wasn't built to do what Aika is making it do. There's lots of stuff that has been upgraded specifically for TrapQuest by volunteers, and the game still had to be split up into parts because the size of the image files became too big for the engine to handle. Porting the game over to something better has been talked about, but the work involved would take months and there would be zero updates in the meantime. So far the patrons haven't been keen on going that route.
