I hear ya. Most of the time when there's only 1-3 and a company `claims` its a match and they only give it same random name with `generic` in the title... it's their heuristics saying "hey we don't know this is bad but we think it might be".

Big thing is downloading `patchers`. (not ren'py mods per say but those that go by "patchers" or "unlockers").
