If you have max affection (i.e. Seen all cutscenes in camp after dungeon, it will say you've seen all content for that girl) you can go to inn after camp and speak with the girl you want to lock and select: Lock. Then you have Yes and No. If you press yes, girl stays locked and won't receive gifts or have new scenes with Chad. If she is locked and you want to unlock, repeat and select Lock -> No. This will unlock the girl. If you lock and don't touch that option it will remain locked.

also don't lock them till you can lock all the girls with you cause chad doesn't have less gifts to give if you only lock one or two he just gives the extra gifts to the ones unlocked unless you are looking to have them taken by chad, don't lock them so the gifts are spread out amongst all the people with you

he will always give gifts and i dont know if you do but when you give gifts at night those count for the next day, but yes he is always going to be trying to take the girls
I think it's been mentioned before that the chance of him gifting to girls is also increased by the number of times you speak to girls and do things like lowering their opinion of him. So if you were really aggressive in spending time to talk with girls at camp, that will also bump up Chad's likelihood to give other girls gifts as well.
There hasn't been any announcement about a new update coming out.
The developer has been talking about a lot of new features for the game but has given no updates how far they are a long with the new update and how long it will take for that update to go live.

The dev is still keeping updates on his Patreon, the last update for on 14 November.
They are working on a feature called girlfriend battle which allows you to go after Chads girls, a feature i am looking forward to.
The last 2 updates were polls for the look new characters.
Is there a Discord server? I had no idea. Is it public or is it only for Patrons?
