The version number is composed of three groups of digits.
Example: 51 09 2
51= Percentage completion of the update version.
09 = Month of release. (September)
2 = Second release of the month
First release is on the 1st of the month. Second release is on the 15th of the month.

Rarity of objects vary but visits to the doctor increase the chance of finding a more rare artifact or ingredient cost which lasts until you obtain x number of rare artifacts, and wisdom from visits to the masseuse gives you greater quantity of finds, at an even higher cost (my opinion she is over paid). As you progress through the story, the maximum number of ingredients will be found to fill up the slots too. But other tasks arise. Avoid snake bites while your are enhanced in Intel or wisdom or you lose the enhancement as poisoned.

This a old bug. To fix this bug, you need to delete the game complete together with the path User Data and install a fresh full game and start again. For more info, see here :
