I feel bad for him but Sophora's initial content and buildup is way too similar to the Dzaan bounty hunter and is extremely buggy. It's the same with the mouse companion in CoC2, buildup for two years with dozens of art commissioned and scenes already written but at the end of the day it took way too long to finish so it was scrapped.

He mentioned something about that in his return post. "The downward trend finally 'peaked' with Sophora's extremely unfinished implementation last September. I hold no grudges over that, but it should not have happened. That it did, though, left me utterly crestfallen "

It's kinda vague, but the way that reads makes it sound like he wasn't ready for Sophora to be implemented at all, but she was added to the game anyway before he could finish her. So it may not really be his fault.

The backer version gets early access to content (honestly no real loss there, they rarely release new content that isn't bugged to hell so by the time all the bugs are fixed and the content is playable it's usually public anyhow) as well as the image pack, which is higher resolution versions of the images in the game that look nicer.

I believe you can enable Frostwyrm incest by changing the flag " NYKKE_VERSION_TOGGLE " to 1.
But idk how much of the content is still functional.

I feel like a lot of that boils down to:

a. some writers not accepting the fact that nobody plays a porn game to be lectured about how in reality you can't really demand someone to be faithful when you are sleeping around yourself, just because you want that in a game doesn't mean you are a hypocrite, also most people really wouldn't like any of the shit going on in any of the games (CoC 1 & 2, TiTS) to happen to them for real - hell, most of it would quite literally result in lethal injuries.

b. the same type of writer feeling like their OCs are entitled to be treated as if they were actual persons

c. these people loosing track of the fact that their writing simply isn't nearly good enough to create an immersion strong enough to backup the approaches in points a. and b.

d. (edited) and that someone can be dominant without being abrasive/condescending towards the submissive part, in fact the latter is more a sign of being a jerk than anything; people can have sex on equal terms, yes, even if 1 has a bigger dick; being obnoxiously in the face with a potential powerdynamic isn't a sign of a strong/imposing character, in fact it gives the impression someone is compensating for their small ego.

I'm playing the game to escape and have own adventure. Not adhere to real life rules and restrictions in a VIDEO GAME.

People need to keep in their mind first and foremost that you're playing a video game to get away from the restrictions of life. Also it's silly to have that notion whilst at the same time not realizing that it's just as silly to apply any real life ''logic'' into a game where 99.9% of characters have 100ft giga cocks that manage to instantaneously go from completely hidden to full diamond and STILL leave enough blood flow in their system to function at peak condition without desiccating them on the spot.

I mean...c'mon lmao....c'mon.

CoC 1 (+ mods) still remains unmatched in terms of the player's ability to impact other characters and their relationships. TiTS and CoC2 have better gameplay mechanics but both suffer from the fact that the writers went nuts over the idea that someone could mess with their OC. As a result characters in CoC 1 just feel more alive than CoC 2 and TiTS, even with the option to put them all into a harem.
I think a lot of these new writers are confusing extended character sheets and backstories with good characterization, without realizing that it's important to communicate that to the player through the gameplay itself as opposed to infodumps. Just little things like having NPCs acknowledge status changes from the player and other characters, to alternate dialog options based on game state would go a long way.

I dont remember any char that says, 'you said X but you act like Y, we should part our ways, dont call me anymore', its the other way around. Sure, not a problem at all, come here!!111' is everyday in game reality.

Yep, would have added some life to the game and make it more enjoyable. Maybe add in some bar where if you act like a slut then some chars won't like that or vice versa instead of just most char being cool with PC regardless of whatever the latter say and do

0.9.065, I'm unable to load the game using the exe or HTML. Stuck on "loaded Phaedra" step. Is nobody else having this issue? I can only play the 0.9.023 version which sucks.

Edit: Opening the HTML and then the console, I can see that a ton of error messages pops up. Such as " window.electronAPI is undefined " and " Uncaught TypeError: e is undefined "

Edit2: Only works partially by playing on the online link through Fenoxo's site.

You can't play using the .html file, it makes references to electron functions that aren't present if you're just loading it up in a browser. The .exe is the only way to launch the game unless you want to delve into the code and comment out or remove all the electron stuff.
