Quick question: for ship-installation devices like the Egg Trainer, if you were to swap your main ship with another, would the device be automatically moved to the new ship or would you have to move it manually?

The "ship upgrades/devices" will be moved without loss. Same to "ship cargo". Always.
The "ship modules" and "ship weapons" will be converted into money, if not enough space for them (order of sale - from low to top). The only issue - pirate ship: when you`ll try to hijack him, all "ship modules and weapons" that won`t fit will be tossed into space.

Would I be correct in assuming that the Synthetic Womb implant overrides the Infertile character creation perk?
Probably if you use the fertility enhancing mode. I think it uses your normal fertility as its base setting.
