You are better off sending Sera into debt (there are slaver NPCs in the area that trigger her recruitment) if you don't wish to be toyed by her (be her sub) and you rather be the dominant one in the relationship. Plus, if you do send her into debt you actually can get her to be a crew member and expand her shop (future investment once she belongs to your crew).I trust you personally know a lot more about Sera than I do? Wait so, how do you make sera go into debt? If your the Dom then doesn't she play nasty pranks on you with rainbowtox in your shampoo or something? How can you get her to be a nice crewmember that wont play any pranks on you and get her to set up shop on your ship? Is there a way to get her on your side without forcing any sub or any dom related stuff?
You talk with the slave traders on the same floor where Sera is (east side), afterwards, you have to push her into more debt by selling items to her. I do not remember exactly how much, nor if she'll prank you or not, but once you have her as a slave, you can be fairly nice to her and help her. But the wiki should explain everything.
Like @Shoze said, after you obtain her through the indentured servant contract you must slowly discipline (whenever she misbehaves/pretty intuitive) her and at the same time be nice. Don't allow her to sleep on your bed if you don't wish for surprise butt-sex, it can also happen if you sleep alone she will come to ask you if she can sleep with you (at the correct time). The pranks occurrence also depend on her obedience level, so make sure to keep tabs on it by checking your Codex.

No, I believe once you reach the level 80 obedience that's it. Regarding the pranks, most of them are benign and occur in a 24 hours cycle, with 1/4 chance and 1/10 chance once you invest in her travelling merchant venture. What I mean by being nice, is that you have to tease her (play with her lust) and discipline her at the same time, balance it out. Once you have her in your crew and start the process (obedience training), there will be points through dialogue in which you can determine your attitude towards Sera, some of those are the investment on her shop/becoming a travelling merchant and finally her impregnation. There are no real negative outcomes, the only one is the investment and that can only occur if you decide to deny Sera her dream, by not giving her the money she stops being a merchant. In regards to the impregnation, that one happens only if you decide to trigger it, so no real impending doom situation besides you can goad Sera into it if you challenge her (yeah she takes it as a dare) and it mostly ends up okay (she softens for a bit in the nursery but that's it).Thanks to both of you

is it true that the pranks can only occur in the shower? (rainbowtox shampoo prank?) So If I just don't take a shower until I get her obedient, I can avoid the pranks 100%?
No, the pranks will be there forever even if you reach the 80% obedience level, since the pranks are part of Sera's attitude and is treated as a game between the PC and her, you just diminish the chances of them happening if you invest on Sera. Now as for the pranks, they mostly happen at the ship, 2 of them happen if you access the smut button (takes 500 credits from you or leaves you with some weird porn on screen), the other while accessing your storage (messes with your items, nothing is lost) and finally the shower (transformative colouring), this prank was the exception that I was implying. The fifth prank happens at the docking bay, basically, Sera takes the ship out for a spin (it takes 2 hours for the ship to return).
, save scum before every shower at the ship, or you can simply take showers with Anno (I think that bypasses the prank), plus you have several locations that offer showers (The Gym at New Texas, The Beach on Tavros, some NPC houses). If I'm not mistaken you can also dye back your hair or body part with the hairdresser at Tavros Station, it's pretty cheap and by the time you are doing this recruitment quest you should have more than enough money for such simple modding (a Million plus). You can view Sera's lust and obedience levels through the Codex, then go to Stats, then Encounters and finally go to the Tavros section and within the Dark Chrysalis sub-section, you should find her data.

I'm surprised I can't get a rahn as a crew member or have more (or any) talking options with celise. Also, no Rahn items, no custom tools/armor/shields/weapons and much more. I'll try to be patient *insert skeleton here*XD
From my personal experience i had sera make a mess in my storage and that was all till i made her mine... so i would say it's worth a try, you need like an half to an hour to make this quest complete, and make her your slave/plaything/breeder... I will recommend saving up the game and trying to tame her to see if you will like the result.Wow ok, that's horrible.
Pretty much all of Sera's antics (pranks) are avoidable, and the chances of them occurring further decrease with the investment (1/4 vs 1/10), and I mean it. I mean, do you really go that often to press the smut button on board of the ship? The storage mess is just her messing the order in which the items were displayed, finally, her taking the ship is quite rare and its only for 2 hours, which you can wait with the press of a button. About the shower prank, I pretty much gave you all the solutions to go around it, and I'll add something else I have about 6334 days in-game and whenever there was a status icon regarding odours I took a shower as well as after the gym, and I still haven't encountered the shower prank and others, with the exception being Sera taking the ship for a ride but that's it no damages and nothing is missing, so its safe to have her as a crew member. So just think of Sera as a sarcastic girlfriend that plays a prank every once in a blue moon, and if you are afraid of Sera you really but really need to avoid Riya (especially bad to male PC's) and Verusha... they make Sera look like a tame infant with a cheeky attitude.Wow ok, that's horrible.
I completed it and so far it seems that nothing changes,she's just alone in that room on Uveto and the only post-quest difference it makes is that you can tell her you love her.

Yea, I guess what really gets to me the most is the fact that there is no 100% guarantee that she wont prank me. I don't mind pranks but Seras pranks create severe inconveniences for me in my opinion that prevent me from relaxing and just enjoying the game without having to remember all kinds of things that I shouldn't click out of fear that I will get my hair or eye color changed and have to spend loads of credits putting back. I really like Sera's personality and playfulness but I don't have the patience to undo everything she does to me that I don't like. I really love her character, but I don't like that there's no way to tell her that it's not okay for her to cross the line and modify my character without my permission. It would make more sense to me if when you first get her if you choose to change her, then she pranks you. Otherwise I think it would be interesting if you choose to not modify her in any way when you first get her on your crew that she respectfully never tries to prank you in a way that modifies your character. In my opinion that would be a great addition to the game and make her character have more depth. I still want her to prank me, but only in ways that don't drain my credits or modify my character. I really like your posts and everything you both had to say.
