The AIR version works completely fine, so i'm not sure what the engine rework is for.
Like... flash is dead, but it still works.
AIR works fine for now, but is on life support at best. , and the alternatives get slimmer and more expensive over time. There is no guarantee it will continue to function as we desire, especially with a broad push for Windows 11 on the horizon.

So yes, AIR works. For the moment. But assuming it would continue to work long-term is a poor assumption to make.

The weapon combo is a bit rng-based aka the freeze debuff so I'm currently using Rocket hammer since it has like 90 to 100% stun chance to anything that can be stunned.

EVERY turn with me swinging the weapon = stun -> crit 'coz of stun debuff and repeat.

Use the power strike + the perk -> Sundered debuff then spam normal attacks.
Mixed with second attack / Cleave perks so EVERYTHING gets stunned with your normal melee attacks.
And last but not the least, the level 10 perk "Lunge" enables you to use melee weapons on flying and non-flying ones get a chance to get staggered so you give two debuffs at once~~~

I can just spam " 1 " and I'll win any battle.

Bless mercenary passive to recover energy and a second wind, those two abilities are busted.

The smuggler can also abuse the stun debuff with their perks.

Tech specialist seems a bit boring for me...
I'd figured that the Techie strongest gimmick was tanking by having a bunch of shields.
I have a techie save that I was working on last year that is running these items, so far it's rocking at 375 shield points
When running the freeze/crush combo I prefer the Custom Shock Gear over the hammers solely for the bonus hit rate flag. Which more or less makes the second attack hit (if you take the Second Attack perk). I do roughly 50 damage per hit and about 250-460 on a freezing crit hit.
If you can afford the Zaika Gown get otherwise the Modded Yellow Clothes is almost as good, as for Accessory I like to use the Bimbolem Defense System, it does an AOE lust damage based on your maximum shield reserves once your shield breaks. If the enemy is immune to lust then I recommend using the Sheild Aug Bracers for the 50 bonus shields. (for a grand total of 425 shield points)
I don't think you could get some of these items legitimately in the current JavaScript version, so you might want to bring up the old flash version if you want to fool around with this build.

Hmm, I'm going to try this since I barely play Tech spec. and I don't really see that much on my own shenanigans.
Also, aren't some of the stuff you said are in Zheng-whatever planet? I can't access it with the current public one I have.

I can't really dabble into save editing shenanigans since I'm bound by my own iron rule for one and two, I don't know sh- about save editing in this game.
Given how the game is never complete, I'll never be able to finish this dam- game.
So I will always play this legit and use whatever cheese strat available atm.

Flash version it is then~~~

I don't suppose anyone knows a way to edit the ship's Max Energy. I kinda want my crew to be able to blast enemy ships to smithereens.

Only the prototype shield (you'll have to ask about his shield when you have less than 150 total shield points. Easiest way is to just unequip your shield before talking to him) and the Sheild Bracers you just need to beat (you can't miss it as it's part of main story).

Once you reach Dhaal you can by Zaika-style Gown for a measly 215k credits. As for the Custom Shock Gear and Modded Yellow Clothes, you have to ask for a set from after you beat her in a sparring match. You have to first find the related distress signal first, you'll know you got it if you got mistaken for an enemy bounty. The Bimbolem Defense System can be bought from Dr.Bager over at Tarkus.

If you did take a look of at my save, don't try to get Fuck sense perk unless you're trying to be a literal cow.

Yeah like I said, the public doesn't have the pirate planet yet aka best place to earn money for me at least since I'm using the public ver.
Buggy piece o' sh- too, that one.

Am too lazy to try it on flash for some reason, maybe because the debuffs proc 1 / 4 chance for me in flash.

I just wanted an excuse to write a primer. ⁽ᴬⁿᵈ ᵗᵒ ᵗᵉˡˡ ⁿᵉʷᵇᶦᵉˢ ᵗᵒ ˢᵗᵃʸ ᵃʷᵃʸ ᶠʳᵒᵐ ᶠᵘᶜᵏ ˢᵉⁿˢᵉ ʷʰᵉⁿ ᵖˡᵃʸᶦⁿᵍ ᵃˢ ᵃ ᵗᵉᶜʰᶦᵉ⁾
Is the Doctor Lash fight in the JavaScript version, if so that is where I would go to grind Credits.

Depends if it works for you or not. I am having Random npcs just quit and become main menu each time I talk to them, so far it was 2, now it went to 5 npcs, that are now menu glitched. And the 3 new ones were working.

I'm one of those people who just cheats as soon as I'm going to start grinding.

If its something I could set up and auto clicker for and walk away, I'm just going to edit the variable and give myself as much money as I'd grind for lol

You could set up an auto-script if you wanted to, You just need to have at least 255 shield points and the Bimbolem Defense System. Doctor Lash will get K.O. within the first turn, and you get one credit short of a million and 5k experience. You can immediately fight him again afterward, although you might have to manage your inventory every other battle.

It won't even take you a quarter of a day to reach max level and have as much money as you want w/o cheating tbh.
This game is way too easy to cheese~~~

Side note:

I can't be the only one who never bought a ship 'coz I just hijacked the one in the 4th planet or am I?

Yeah, I'd do it once and then just stop lol

I mean, that's true. Really, money and XP aren't the ones I avoid. It's stuff like grinding stat increases that are a pain in the ass. And I've already done all that once or twice legitimately. Now I just save myself the time.

And yeah, that's what I did too on my last full play through.

You have to cheat to lvl 10, unless you want to be bent over and over and over and over and over, and eventually end up like Sav.

Cheat to level 10? :KEK:

Man you's just lazy, I can go from 1 to 10 under an hour bud'.
Let me give you one of my strats.

Step 1:

Level 1 to 6 -> do the quest in mhenga for the zk rifle -> head straight to the taxi spot then spam mobs til' you go from 1 to 6.

Step 2:

Myrellion or whatever the third planet is, just like step 1, find the taxi spot in the deeper level, the one near the queen with the probe for 6 - 10.

You won't even spend an entire hour doing this...
You already know the devs are dogsh-t and I'm just abusing that knowledge 'coz they really are dogsh-t at most like 90% MOST.

I didn't say Cheat because you are lazy or time consuming. I said it is the easiest way to avoid 100% bent over.

Okay, two things.

First, an hour is a lot of time to be doing something boring. And grinding levels in a game where combat really isn't that interesting is pretty boring. Doubly so when you've already done it like 500 times in the past.

Second, that seems like the slow way to do it. You can get through Mhenga at level 2 no problem, and you can be on Myrellion by level 3 if you're lucky, or four if you want a safe bet. You'll get the levels just running to the probes; just camp before the final fights. Then you can grind the little alcove area on the left hand side of the upper map to get to 6 in a hurry and grind by where you said to get to level 10 in a hurry. Doing it that way will cut off 20-30 minutes from your estimate, since you get way more xp on the third planet than the first, and you don't need to bother with the quest. The guns you get off Anno is more than enough for the second planet, and the gun you get while doing her mission is more than enough for the third. And her mission takes like, a minute tops.

And really, grinding levels and money isn't a problem, its grinding stat points that suck. There's so much extra time wasted doing that. But cheating the stat points is, tricky. There's a bunch of softlocks you can hit messing with stats. Kinda lame.
