I for one cant wait to see if i play the game long enough to actually get the people i impregnated actually give babies, or have the java edition finish and stop playing any other version. With that being said, I only play this game at least once a week and progress about 2-4 days. with someone mentioning the transition happening in december, i find it highly unlikely i will see the frostwyrm "incest" (not anymore) content again (like all my runs, I still to this day have not seen the frostwyrm content). It also brings me to a couple of thoughts. I'm pretty sure im missing out on 45% of content either because I don't know it exists, or i simply dont "vibe" with it. I stumbled on a least favorite/most favorite character thread on the Fenoxo Forums and a few people did bring up Shizuya and Akane as their least favorite due to some of the things you said.

Criticism starts pretty much at this post if you wanna take a read. Begins with Shizuya and then the next page has some Akane criticism:

For me Anno feels a lot better than Cait. Most scenes we see Anno would treat you with her wide array of sluts. She is like a wingman and doesn't really take the focus of scenes away from the player. Tl;dr : Anno has good background stories and have some restraints. Cait goes deus vult on every cock and the backstory seems like an excuse for her existense.

Remember she is a priest but for some reason you have to bring her to do the wedding i don't get why you can not just ask sanders to help you do it for you. And no you don't have to do her quest you just have to bring that trash with you to get married. Plus the weird thing about the game is some Events act like she is in the party when she is not.

What annoys me is times when the game won't confirm whether she's actually fucking characters like Kase or not, but keeps on putting that she's flirting at him and them interacting in your face more than other interactions on the ship. Kinda irritating.
