It's been this way for over a year now. For the whole time, they've been porting the game over to Javascript.

My advice? Don't be a patreon for this game. Most of the staff is lazy, the entire leadership can't plan for life (even though Adobe said they'll kill flash in 2017, the devs didn't start porting this game until flash legit died in 2020. They should've started earlier.). And for some reason, they make a tone of money – 30K per month of Patreon alone.

I'm pretty sure this game won't die, but it chugs along content way too slowly. My advice? Just download it from this site For the most part I hate piracy, but honestly, the devs aren't even worthy for this game.

I can't say I blame him considering that the game has no real direction anymore. That's what happens when you pander to your Patrons rather then sticking to your vision - the game belongs less and less to you. Noone to blame but himself, but still.

With only a couple things left to do for js release, are we finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel? I at least believe so.

Fenoxo losing the passion to write scenes shouldn't be a big problem since the game has a lot of talented writers which have written a ton of content and due to the js port it has been delayed to be put into the game.

Hopefully once the js port gets a public release sometime in the near future they'll start adding it more regularly, and maybe it'll even reinvigorate fenoxo to actually finish the main campaign/story.

Sounds like this is all gonna end just like COC 1 did where he loses all motivation for it, starts a new project (that steampunk one he was talking about some time ago), and then promises to finish the last game with some lazy slapped together ending... [insert shocked and surprised face]

Fenoxo is basically responsible for the fact that all characters (old and new) get more oversexualised, hyperendowed, and have ridiculous body proportions.

To me it sounds like he cant get enough off it. When he starts a new project everything is "realistic", the world settings feels like its real, like you can explore it, and the characters. Now its just feel like you just view the content for one hypersexualised character and move on to the next.

Honestly if William and B (plus some other writers) werent putting out good content, I wouldnt be interested in it at all.

Best option for him, would be to step back a little, stop writting content and just take submissions from other writers until he finds the interest in the game again.

Edit: Also, we have been stuck on the 4rth probe for like 4? years? He cant even continue the main storyline...

Don't see how you could blame the patrons on this one, fenoxo has been sticking to his vision and all that shows is that his plan sucks. Take ship battle system and crew system for example or that nearly half of all characters are futa (his main fetish), dude is simply burned out from working on a project for 7 years.

To be fair, the ship combat system isn't entirely his fault. Gedan [the person currently in charge of the javascript port] was the one that was supposed to handle all of the ship content to begin with, and as we all know, Gedan can't get even make sure the code doesn't break when they add what little they do in these recent updates. So Fen had to slap some shit together after enough people kept bitching at him about it and the only answer he could give was, "Idk."

To be fair, "head writer" in a case like this is moreso a title for the person primarily responsible for making sure story added doesn't break "cannon" as it were, not necessary the most prolific writer.
A lead is normally the one that makes sure that the underlings aren't going to muck something up.

At my work, I may have an employment title of "software developer" (I really should check to see if "senior" should be added to it.), but I wear soo many "hats" I haven't done real development in a long while. I worry about losing my touch, but I go into many reviews of the other developers to point things out to make sure stuff doesn't get mucked up, make sure the architecture doesn't get screwed, litterally 40% of my time is lost in meetings ( recorded it once for 2 months to verify that. ), etc. that I don't have time to handle some of the more detailed stories.

Now does Fenco do any of that? I haven't a clue what he does, honestly. I lost interest when it became more cock than pussy in the game months... years? back.
