Others - Trials of the Succubi [v3.50] [Indyc]

The concept of the game is original and well implemented. You're really get the feeling of walking on your toes, trying to not misstep, try and get the parts your interested in without falling into the clutches of the succubi. I get what other reviewers are saying about it nog being user-friendly, but I think it does add to the experience. Also, the developer has taken effort to improve the game speed and added skipping options, which is great.

The images are suiting to the scenarios, the story is compelling, and there is an impressive variety in endings and kinks. Admittedly, some could use some more substance, but there is something for almost everybody.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this many times and I can certainly reccommend trying the game out.

To be honest, I'm expecting some M/M content since there is a Gay tag but I'm really enjoying this game and to be honest I'm enjoying girls seducing guys and the creator knows how to raise my L like WTH the random chances is so good, you want to resist but you failed so you will end up trying your best to resist the temptations but you will end up giving some of your souls.... Wish we get a pure gay content <3

Amazing game with an active dev that is constantly responding with improvements and new ideas. It may take a while to get used to the system and flesh out all the content available, but trust me it is very worth it. Some areas of the game can get a bit repetitive but making new decisions and finding new scenes is very rewarding. There's a lot of creativity and love going into the game, and with a writer/dev like indyc there's a lot to be excited about in the future.

Game becomes better and better! It is very nice to see how author listens to comments of players and corrects the gameplay.
For now, as for me, the game has no disadvantages.

Overall a pretty poor game that highlights why some game engines are used more often than others.

A game like this shouldn't need a batch file to start. The controls and systems feel clunky and unintuitive and while the story is temping it's not temping enough to play a slow clunky RPG.

Maybe this game can be redone in Renpy or Twine and it will become serviceable.

I don't know what this game was trying to do but the mechanics seem clunky, in conflict with the narrative and boring. The pics don't work on higher resolutions screens and magnifying the browser only increases the font size. So it is badly designed for high end hardware.

The quality of many pictures were simply bad full stop. There was almost no animation/video in a "real porn" game. Seriously what is the point? When you can get a better fap experience from most other things why play the game?

Buttons are not uniform so you will likely accidently click on an option you didn't want and with no back button and a really F'en stupid save code system for saving , the game seems designed to piss off the user. Seriously developers need to STOP trying to force players to play a game the way they want. Stop it. Let people play how they want. It is like an author telling readers you can't stop in the middle of a chapter because I the author don't like it. Fuck you author I'll put down a book and come back to it how I see fit.

This is an update to my old review (see below) The dev did fix my old reviews biggest grip that being the timer or what I thought was lag. Now that you can play through the game It highlights what I though would be the next biggest issue and that's the "Lose for Content" style game play. If you want to see porn you need to make bad choices and thus you don't get to see more of the game. Which is wild because looking at the games actual "img" folder, there might be more actual porn in this game than 95% of the "Real Porn Style" games on here. but you just don't get to see any of it -.-

It was going to be updated to 3 stars but im going with 4 because the dev listens and honestly its nice to see a new take on HTML games, even if it's the Lose for content style

Its been said great by others, but to reiterate. Give this game a pass untill they sort out what ever the hell is going on with this engine. Great game i think? but becuse of this awful engine you are just sitting here with notihng to read or skip while it sorts its life out in the background. Also the direction of the story doesnt really understand where it wants to go, has the same problem as other games, that being you need to fail to get content. Which makes for a taxing story experience.

The game has quite a lot of content and has a very big decision tree. If you are a fan of real porn and like exploring story driven games this is a title you should definitely check out. If you just want to click through as fast as possible I recommend the no delay version.

5 star game held back by engine limitations.

Lack of a skip feature and slow loading, and no save load feature means that accessing different routes ends up being nightmare scenario were you have to quit the game to record a potentially bad save state which wont be apparent for another 10 min.

A simple but entertaining chyoa type game .

Story - Not much of a back story , but just 4 main succubi trying to get a piece or all of your soul. Frankly 3/4 the succubi seem to be genuinely nice , if not for the fact they are trying to steal your soul. There are also angels , MIL and sis , fiance and other side succubi joining the action.
Replayability is great however the image transition is not!! Its horribly slow and time consuming. I would have given the game 1-2 stars if not for the solution posted by Gildan.

Mechanics- Please refer to the solution by Gildan or until the developer solve this time consuming image transition issue before you play this game . This game is only playable after you solve the image duration issues or else a single succubi image sequences can easily take up to 10-15 mins of your time.

More creampies!!! You cum inside a succubi you die , I understand the risks , but how about some kinda of protection item from your angel ? She seem to be happy giving you magical items.

More MIL and sis actions!!! Hey bring in Dad too. I like to see those succubi corrupting the entire family and even the fiance.

And perhaps cropping some of the images to remove the websites they are from will really help the game alot. It really ruins the immersion when you consorting with a succubi over live and death sex but the image watermarked "spynanny.com" or "naughtyamerica.com"

Genuinely not a good game. Not sure what's even to say. Playing it feels like getting whiplash mixed with some generic porn images. There may be some who like it for what it is, so I won't give it 1 star. There are still worse games, after all.

This game would be pretty decent if it wasn't for 2 things:

1) The game wants you to replay it as you'll only see maybe 7% of the content every playthrough. Problem with that is the game is slow as fuck. Trying to get through something you've already seen is hell because you can't just skip things. The game actively restricts your ability to get through it at a decent pace and thus makes replaying it is worse than watching paint dry.

2) Game actively discourages you from seeing sex scenes. The more scenes you see, the more the game punishes you. But you also can't instantly reject the girls because they just kill you if you do that twice for them. This leads to a gameplay loop of interacting with characters just enough so they don't kill you, and just enough so you don't actually see any sex scenes.

This could be solved by allowing the player an invincibility mode, but the game locks that option by default. I cannot be bothered to try and figure out how to unlock that because the game doesn't respect my time. Do not purposefully make shit a time sink for absolutely no reason. "Oh but it's for edging" isn't an excuse, I'm not some toddler who needs their hand held.

Avoid this one if you actually value your time. And this is coming from someone with lots of free time.

Played about 5 rounds as a male and I will be rating it around my experience at that level so take it as it may.

The game functions well as a porn game, you will coom and there is a plot and it does feel pretty interactive as a game.
There are plenty of endings, beautiful section of pictures and a decent flow of plot. It is a complete "package".

However it is the interaction with the package that feels flawed, like you feel like the "right" way to play it to avoid the best scenes and sometimes your choices feels unsatisfactory - you don't really feel like a dom or sub, it feels stuck in the middle, which isn't the best place to be.

There are some "power ups" you can pick up to mitgate that with angels, but that is another can of worms by itself.

There is a plot but it doesn't really pull you in, you don't really feel like you have a girlfriend, more like some stranger that texts you, nor do you really get the personality of the main 4 Succubi(and others), there are hints for their prefences but it is not obvious.

Other than that, the other issues are more technical, with the strange choice of long delays between scenes and even images, the saving feels "off", I know you can just reroll back at the end but the current implementation of it kinda breaks the immersion, and the weird way of packaging a browser and running it with a .bat file might also stumble the more simple users, never underestimate how low the floor can be.

Overall, a flawed game but worth a playthrough.

The core weakness might be it doesn't know its audience, it doesnt appeal to AVN lovers who like a strong story but it doesn't provide enough satisfaction from making choices like a dating sim would have for sim lovers.

A good product that could have been great with a stronger focus.

The definition of frustrating and anti-player freedom. You want to be a sub/beta? Well you're gonna be stuck trying to fuck people for 50 minutes only to lose because you're avoiding them all. Want to dom a specific girl? Well you'll get ambushed by 10 other girls randomly, all keeping you stuck in their little bullshit for up to 5-10 minutes because you scroll through at the pace of a dying turtle.

And it's ALL pictures, all of it is just actresses/models stripping, which would be fine but it's all teasing and stupid "edging" and when you get to any good stuff your own mc changes because suprise, suprise, when you use pictures of models you end up with random partners every time, from muscle bound hunks to fat pudgy old men, and the best the creator did was crop out the male faces. It's annoying, ugly, and the dialogue is forced into ENDLESS teasing, because for some reason they chose to show every transition for them stripping for every scene. Cut out the useless scenes and have just 1 picture for a transition, not 5 unskippable ones you must wait 5 seconds each to move to the next.

No interface or UI, you won't know your scores like alpha/beta levels until you reach certain points, or worse your "soul" points (which are basically life points) are hidden from the player. Yes that's right, THE AMOUNT OF HP YOU HAVE IS HIDDEN. Making every encounter a risk if you just forgot how much "soul" you have. And worse if you don't like a girl and tell her "No", maybe 1-2 times, she just kills you, straight up. And there's no manual saving so guess what? You get to go back to the start of the game because skipping/saving is locked and so is the fun!

And the worst part of everything is the stats, they make 0 sense. Oh you like asses? Well that must mean ALL asses right? So if you're going for a specific girl, well guess what? Get fucked. You'll stare at everyone else because you obviously like one ass so your taste must carry over right? Since perversions/kinks are parallel and don't at all depend upon individual's tastes in woman/men/etc. You may want to skip a girl, but if you have to high a stat you are stuck in an endless loop for 10 minutes before you character wills themselves to Leave. And to get rid of those stats you are REQUIRED to get stuck in a 10 minute scene with an "angel" to watch them strip and such. It's overly long, boring, and frustrating.

All of this is "connected" to a "story" that is written like the worst anime of all time. You are dropped in this world (apparently having slept outside like a drunk) locked out of your own house. Apparently you have a fiancee but good luck telling everyone that because they aren't in 90% of the game making them worthless. And oh yeah, you are locked out of your own house and stuck in 30 minute scenes with 3-4 girls who you may/may not care about until you get the damn key, then stuck on the base floor of your own damn house gatekeeped by girls. And apparently every girl is a succubus. Why? Idk and neither does the MC, girls, or the author, as just random teasing scenes comprise 90% of this god-aweful clusterfuck.

That's the entire game, boring, frustrating, and if you like a scene or ANY of the tags listed for the game, you have to fire blindly into the game to find it because maybe 1 out of the 1,000 scenes will be what you want, with who you want. The only positive thing I can say about this game is the engine is unique and at least the text isn't just endless paragraphs like HTML. To the creator I ask you, What was/is your plan here? It seems like you just did this for the sake of doing it, which is fine, but this game is just the longest waste of time on this site I've played. It's not bad, but I can play a bad game and move on, THIS game had potential and you wasted it with slow text, gatekeeping NPC's, and a lack of direction/story/explanation. Cut out the fat, make a guide or content warning for each girl, add manuel saves or unlock skips with a cheat/option, and make your fiance more than just a text message. You have something here but you've crippled it with all of this complicated bs.

Are you crazy to downvote this awesome piece of creative work?!? If this is a 1-star game what the heck are those cheap-ass HTML vine zero effort cashgrabs? Personally, I love the idea behind this game: having to balance your urges and carefully manage your lust+soul ressources to avoid a too early ending. Which is almost unavoidable in the first playthrough before you understand the game mechanics better. And a game it is, not just a vehicle for porn pics. Also on the plus side: no grind but still a clear progression in the teasing/sex levels if you manage to survive. Plus the game offers sheer endless potential for replays choosing different strategies or focusing on specific girls. Great job!

honestly it's not that bad, this game is bearable, but the saving system sucks and having to redo the entire game every time you can't put hope on the wrist once you reach an ending is what killed my desire to play this game. but it is an interesting game when you look at it from the points system. the story is not that bad, but mostly i came here for the pregnancy content which i did not see a single picture of until i reach multiple ending, what made me pissed off was that because i saved pictures from way in the beginning of the game i got locked out of the good marriage ending which presumably have some of those pregnant content.

Good luck Devs and i hope you find out a way of having a better system for saves, because redoing the entire game where i can't skip the same dialogue is hard to bear.

The game contains a huge amount of content. A single playthrough of the game covers 1 in-game day that is broken up into around 6 stages with a pool of encounters in each stage that the player chooses from. The player has to complete around 3 encounters before they get the option to move to the next stage. Within each encounter are further choices that navigate small to medium-sized self contained branches. The choices made within encounters can also raise flags that will change or unlock separate encounters.

The game doesn't give you a whole lot of information on what to do. Save-scumming is possible, but not optimized. For players that want to save-scum, I recommend opening the game in a 2nd tab which you'll use to get the "secret code" whenever you reach a spot you want to be able to return to. Paste the secret codes in individual notepad files and you have yourself your own save-file system.

Progressing through the game is not fast. There is no way to skip through encounters you've seen before, but there is likely to be paths within it or alternative encounters in the stage that you haven't fully explored unless you've played a few times already.

This game felt to me like a bone does to a dog. You have to gnaw on it and it will take you a long time to get through it all. I liked it a lot.

Might be intriguing but too slow paced and the constant long winded chats with characters I don't like got boring very fast. Says you can be bi but didnt get very far and never met a male character only ladies who to be honest did nothing to turn me on in real life (Im Bi but the photos used were just a turn off for me)

Game needs to be able to support standard browser(s), even my standard/pure Brave install won't load the game properly.
Even though it passes a virus check there is no way this isn't suspicious.

A terrible attempt at a COYA where there's little choice and even less adventure, the whole thing is a railroaded "experience".
Story: a bunch of succubi want your soul, there's an "angel" that tries to help you for some reason, end of story. Choices with unintuitive outcomes a plenty and the only save feature is accessible on a game over and only goes 20-30 choices back, some of which include the game over event, making it even less.
The porn and models selection is fine, but that's always up to personal taste.
But the worst thing about the game is how much it disrespects your time. Every interaction, every choice, every action and every line comes with delays upon delays. The "game" was originally hosted on some site built around edging and" teasing" and is made with these things in mind, but the end result is a monumentally frustrating experience that's neither fun, engaging or arousing. I am perfectly capable of edging myself without the need to have several second delays between every short line of dialogue.
