VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Triangle [v1.0] [Neverlucky]

Really well written story with just enough choices and a nice touch of humor sprinkled into the mix. It is really rare to find a VN that does not have incest as it's main kink(not kink shaming but that is just not my thing) while still being an upbeat, overall positive story. Most of the upbeat stories seem to revolve around incest and most of those that don't involve incest seem to focus on some form of sexual abuse(which I hate to see in the games I play). That or the story is really hampered by bad grammar/syntax/spelling, etc. It is really rare for me to give out a 5 star review. Support this dev for any future content, as long as they keep up this type of quality output.

This is the second time I have played it, and it did not disappoint (I rarely replay anything). I wanted to give it 4.5 stars but cant, so I went with 5. Why not. The thing about this game is it is not the best at anything, but it is pretty good at just about everything. What I like the most about it is that there is no huge scary life changing drama in the middle. There is one, and its small and quick, and the author does not pound into you that "YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING!!!" like some games do. Its a little "This could be bad" and then you resolve it and things get really good.

There are basically no choices in this game. I think there are 2 that change anything. But I didnt mind since I liked the ending. I feel like this game is a nice, clean, wholesome happy story. Which is odd because I normally gag at the happy story shit.

This is a game that is completely faithful to it's premise and executed the concept near perfectly.

The concept of, you and your girlfriend look after a friends daughter, and slowly you will begin to forge a three-way relationship with her. The friends daughter is named Jenny and your girlfriend is named Sarah.

There is such a good buildup with Jenny and her integration into the relationship. Your own girlfriend is quite loving and hot. The writing is generally high quality.

The way it's handled feels realistic, and there is real drama that goes on when your girlfriend finds out about you and Jenny, and then her acceptance of it. The three-way relationship feels genuine and earned.

Sarah and Jenny have good personalities. There's plenty of writing to characterize them as you go through the story.

Some of the flaws in the other reviews are right. About there being no story except the development of the triangle relationship. About there being a bit of a disconnect with the ages. About the choices being superficial. About Jenny feeling a bit too young, whereas Sarah is quite older and has more of a strong personality so there's a bit of a disconnect in the dynamics of the relationship and the forming of the relationship, but only a bit. And things like that do stop the game from being a 5/5. But the premise and execution of the game is still done really well, and the sexual stuff is pretty good too, and the writing is good enough to continue along with the game.

This game is all about executing it's premise to a standard that you would want. You will be satisfied by the progress and characters and execution of it's premise.

I don't think i have played a game where the development/buildup to a genuine three-way relationship is it's premise. I have seen it somewhat in other games where it isn't the focus or is a tertiary focus. But this game to my knowledge does it the best.

It's not like you have two girlfriends, although it kind of is like that. But it's more about having true equality in the relationship between three people.

The characters are cute and the sex scenes are many and well made, but the big problem of this game is that there is basically no story. There is barely any choice to do and they are not even meaningful. There is not any downfall, any antogonist, any obstacle to overcome. All that happens is basically:

The story is nothing but an incredibly flimsy excuse to put 3 people together and obvious as hell because what do you think happens when a couple invite another adult to live with them
The attitudes and looks of the characters don't match the story, Jenny acts like a 13yo, Sarah looks way too young to have held jenny when she was a baby, even the main story excuse makes more sense if they were younger.

The characters are all badly written, Jenny being so grateful does what any adult would do when taken in by friends who pay for all her bills, support her when she needs help and that's try and break up a happy couple, the MC is happy to throw away a three year relationship for a girl he has known for just a few days and Sarah is just a dull side character who agrees to everything.

Sex scenes are boring, there is nothing sexy about Jenny and especially nothing about Sarah(she's the very definition of bland in looks and personality) .

The "choices" are truly meaningless, i did multiple run throughs trying full jenny, full Sarah and a mix but every single time the game plays exactly the same which is a real shame.

Its nice that there is no time wasting in the game and while i don't find the girls sexy the art is good quality.

The one redeeming feature is the good amount of after story which so many other games lack.

Normally it would rate a 2/5 but being a complete game with a good after story means it deserves 3/5.

Game is well done and ironically has caused issues for me. It was my first delve in to the Ren'Py VN games. Now I am extremely picking on new games as many don't live up to this one.

The story is well done and overall believable, as well as a fantasy like this can be. The interactions are great and the flow is well done.

There are many erotic games that are basically pure fantasy. Most of the content can only be realized in dreams.

But the content of this game is possible in reality.
A wife and a mistress, if you can handle two, get a happy ending.

This game is an erotic game that can make you happy directly. There are not too many character relationships, no moral condemnation, and no complicated background story.

Your little lover will soon fall in love with you. Then your girlfriend will soon agree to threesome...
Why is it so easy? Because the developer cheats for you directly, setting your girlfriend to be bisexual...

Nice sweet game.
If escapism is what you are looking for, Triangle fits the bill.
Nice sweet storytelling. Nothing heavy and with very likeable characters. No heavy drama, no heavy decisions, no heartaches and a happy ending.

Great chara design, really hot mix of fetish making for some great sex scene, an actually sweet and endearing polygamy relationship beyond just the porn.

There is nothing i dislike in this game, i would still not give it a five star, but i really enjoyed it, very much recommended !

A nice "feel good" game, with two lovely woman, and a rather realistic plot.

Of course, I understand how some may wish for a bit more breakups/jealousy dialog. It's not the point of this game. It chooses to take a rather mellow approach to a love triangle.

It's one of the few games I run again sometimes, just because I enjoy the feelings inside.

The only issue is the icky model used for the child when he is about 2. And that the epilogue could have been a bit longer.

Not sure if I want to give 2 or 3 given the year of 2018 will say maybe it was less overdone and most the negative feeling I have is just from reading and believing far to many reviews/comments instead of just the game so 3 seems fair.

Its same old same old family -> young 1 parents die moves in -> heavily experienced wife/"mother" had relations already with her mother which is some how a massive turn on to her and not questioned etc... (basically this why she ok with threesome and they lesbians or w/e *roll eyes*) -> non stop sex

Was hoping for a loving deeper story instead got idk 15minutes of that then just Old unanimated basic porn.
(But since I don't feel game trys to be more than that or it itself lies saying it is more it fine and again started in 2018 soo it average for what it is).

Sometimes, we need a simple story, without hatred or violence.

Something light, that can be eaten without hunger. And Triangle is exactly that! An intimate, closed door in which you won't see the time go by, with quality visuals and endearing characters.

I don't give it five stars because perfection doesn't exist, but I give it a solid 4 stars he amply deserves it.

I highly recommend it and since criticism is easier than practice, i would like to say thank you and bravo to Neverlucky for its work.

The story of this game is rather straightforward with few choices that really affect the game. You can opt to do certain sexual acts with Jenny or not, and while one of the pregnancies is unavoidable you can choose the gender of the child if that matters to you. So with that in mind this game is more of a "kinetic novel" where you're mostly just playing through a set story. The writing is fairly basic, and there is no real conflict.

That said, I quite enjoyed it. It was simple, very sweet, and made a relatively unrealistic situation enjoyable to experience.

The character models looked good and more on the realisitic side, though this game does not have any animated scenes if you were looking for that.

Character-wise, Sarah was great and I really liked her, and she had some fun surprises about herself that also made Jenny much more involved in a good way. Though the game is on the short side, throughout it shows just how this unique relationship works and progresses I felt good after playing it (and not just because of the fappin') as it showed the future of the household after time passes.

I don't really have anything negative to say, aside from there being quite a few instances of simple spelling errors that are easily ignored from a player's standpoint. Not anything worthy of docking a point for sure. This game was exactly what I was looking for and so while a linear story with few choices may not be appealing to some, it was perfect for me this time around.

I really enjoyed this VN; let's say it was also my first I played, but even now after I have played several others, I affirm that it is still one of my favorites. Simple, graphics not of the latest generation but still very beautiful, balanced colors and well-designed expressions.

It is a really nice story. Finally something kind and touching. Story would not work in real life but as an adult game fantasy very deatailed and well written. Renders are good. There is no animation in the game but lewd scenes was ok for me this way too. Choices only influence little part events in the story and endings. This game is more about to tell a nice and sexy story.

In this game you are in the shoes of an engaged man living happily with his wife, Sarah. One day a tragedy happens in her family and young Jenny come into your life.

Storyline:
The story is a sweet one, of compassion and love and the way the characters move over hardship and betrayal made my day better. Even so, all those cute moments, sweet interaction is linear: no conflicts, no tough decisions. All those will lead you to a happy end that I appreciate, but not fight for.
Another thing that was off to me was how far the protagonist forgot about his loving and caring wife and fall in love with Jenny: The game is medium as lengh so some steps in the process were erased


Characters:
I love Sarah and her role as a wife is one of the most best so far in the games I played. Her body being sexual but without exaggerated tits made it even better.
For Jenny I appreciated her innocence and childish behavior. As body it was ok but I saw cutter in other games.

The gist of the story is that a girl joins you and your girlfriend's household. She seems to quickly forget her own backstory and falls in love with you in a matter of days.

A clear lack of hardship throughout the story make it, quite frankly, bland. And what does happen comes quickly and easily, meaning you won't feel the intended emotional impact. The writing is middling, it won't charm you but doesn't go into engrish territory either. It's mostly a pure read without choice on the player's part. All in all, it's average.

tl;dr: Excellent kinetic visual novel, though without any depth beyond the relationships between the three characters.

Images are a bit low res and lighting could be better early on, but are otherwise great. The writing is a bit off at times due to an apparent non-English native tongue, but it's never confusing and is interesting overall. I do think some drama outside of the relationships themselves might have added depth, but it's still well worth checking out if the premise interests you.

Minor gripe: All of the apostrophes ( ' ) in the text are replaced by grave accents ( ` ) which I found distracting, but it's hardly a deal-breaker.

What I Like:
1) Renders - Jenny and Sarah are cute and have nice models. Rendering is done alright, though they look slightly blurry sometimes.

What I Don't Like:
1) Choices - Why have them if they don't really influence the plot in any meaningful way? It might as well be a kinetic story.
2) Story - There's hardly any conflict and no suspense whatsoever. It's too one-dimensional and there's no build-up or character growth in any meaningful way.
3) Other characters? Why have them? - There are points where other characters are introduced, but there's no expansion on them. Why even have them at all?
4) No sound or music

TL;DR: It's a very good game that accurately depicts a healthy and believable polyamorous FFM relationship. A must-play if you're not bothered by a few things.

In conclusion, this game will entertain you for many hours as long as you don't mind the negative aspects too much. The flaws are there but the game is very good for people who are interested in a story that revolves around the ideal FFM polyamorous relationship.
