VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Triangle [v1.0] [Neverlucky]

Okay, so I just finished Triangle and I thought I'd pitch my penny in...

I saw the high rating and popularity of this game and I was ready to enjoy. I will be honest, the beginning was a little rough, but it basically turned around in the end.

For those people unfamiliar with polyamory relationships, the entire premise and plot of this game will probably be less than perfect. As it is, the dialogue is extremely rough in the first half. It seems to be translated into English, but I could be wrong. The second half of the game (it's pretty short, honestly... I didn't time it, but I think 2-3 hrs tops) is much better, and is far smoother than the first.

The models and renders are very good to me, and I thought they were both very well done. Other than the occasional waiter/bartender, these two are the only two you see for the play-through, so it was pretty important to have them well done - and they were!

Back to the plot/story. As I mentioned, unless you have firsthand experience in a poly household, some of this may strike you as completely fake or sheer fantasy. That said, this presents some pretty close experiences of a poly home. Granted, the time constraints of a game prevent much of the 'realism' of the situation, but that is easily overlooked, if one wishes to do so. Yes, it is rushed. But, without additional gameplay/quests/etc, it would have been extremely boring to extend the plotline for 10hrs of playtime. So, it seems a bit forced for that understandable reason.

This is basically a fantasy piece, giving the player a glimpse of a much larger world. It is not a 'how-to' guide or training manual. (Yes, I read some of the other reviews first and it seems that some miss the point of the game completely).

It is a very well-done game for what it is. It is enjoyable and the writing is pretty good for the later game. When the problems arise in game, you can really see the struggle and guilt at first from the characters - as it should be!


Anyway, well done and if you are seeking a game that offers a glimpse into the world of polyamory, look no further. It's a good time had by all! (pun intended)

OK I didn't really want to shit on this game but after seeing all the amazing reviews I really just don't get it.

Sure, the renders are fine, the characters are pretty, but HOLY SHIT is the dialogue horrid. I don't know too much about the creator and whether his first language is English, but I can assure you, that no one would ever talk like the characters talk in the story.

This is probably one of the only games I have played where the dialogue and story line legitimately made me uncomfortable... sooo I can't say I recommend it.

I didn't really enjoyed this game despite the fact that i was really looking forward to play it since all the positive reviews and the complete status.

BUT, the game never delivers a solid storyline. It's too weak. The girl (obviously a virgin - why always virgin???) comes to this house and she can't sleep alone like she's a 5-years old who's scared of the dark and the creepy middle-aged man takes advantage of her vulnerable state to get himself a young pussy along with a middle-aged woman who relishes her lesbian past and who better to remember those sex-feelings than the daughter of her past lover! Talk about fucked-up people this couple!

The key-point for me that made me realise that i wasted my time with this game was when that girl admitted she was in love with "daddy" and he said he was in love with her also! Really dude? In the 1 week you know her you "fell in love" with someone who could easily be your daughter you fucking sick pervert? I mean she's young and naive and confused and i get her feelings, but that dude? He ruined the entire game in that moment. The whole "one big happy fucking family" in the end couldn't solve any problem.

I give 3 stars only for the effort and the fact that it's finished.

I'll be brief - this is a great game for people that like a quasi-plausible polyamory story. The models look great, the dialog is pretty much what normal humans would sound like and the sex is relatively normal.

You'll like it too if you like a romantic poly story with a happy ending...so give it a try!

First up this is a proper Poly romance VN with choices mostly affecting which H scenes you get so just save and watch different options as you go. Please don't blame developer if you don't understand what this means.

At first I was really put of at lack of story and just how basic it seemed. Though the cute renders kept me playing.

The simplicity though turned out to be perfect to focus on evolution of characters and their relationship with lots of H scenes along the way with no distractions or inane dialogue from some neanderthal MC.

The use of choices to add multiple H scenes without adding a lot of story to get to each each H scene rather than different arcs was executed very well.

It really i just a simple feel good romance which you not expect to be popular in male dominated market but it is executed so well it deserves its high rating. Of course if anyone ever claims I gave a VN romance 5 stars I will deny everything.

Well written with good characterization and progression. Renders are very good and characters attractive. There's pretty much no fetish material in, aside from the poly romance itself, and perhaps the minor age-play element.

Gameplay wise, the game and story rolls along no matter what you do, so it's extremely light on player interaction. You get to make the occasional choice but with only one exception (that I found), these only affect the immediate scene, and have no effect on the overall plot. This means you can easily quicksave before a scene, play through it, then reload and try the other variants. I found two different endings only, and the path to each was fairly obvious. So basically, this game has a single linear story/path.

Honestly, my only regret with this is that it isn't bigger. Would have loved more paths and options for fetishes and such. I'm not saying the game is light on content at all, simply that the single path on offer was good enough that I wanted even more by the end.

An enjoyable 3DCG experience featuring the perfect girlfriend and a nice dynamic of mid 30's couple "helping" a young girl come into her own as an assertive and feminine being. Good dialogue and well paced development. Good amount of content and scenes.

Only drawbacks is the MC is fairly vanilla and towards the end of the game becomes abit of an over the top loyal gentleman. No other sex partners outside of the triangle.

This game is very good. The plot is simple but the way the story develops is awesome and smooth.
Dialog is very interesting and "readable" and the choices guide to paths as expected.
People can complain about this game because there's no cheating path or no corruption, but to me that was the big difference and what make this unique. We are always seen games with GOOD people that changes into bad people in one night. Triangle makes a difference because are GOOD people trying to solve issues with somehow good choices.

The only issue that i felt about this plot is that Sarah lost her shine after she agreed with a 3 people relationship. Not because she wasn't interesting, but because she "lost her voice", everything she choose is for Jenny. She became too acceptable and good for Jenny.

This Novel is not only fun to play but is a pleasure. The choices make sense, the paths are easy to follow. The renders are well made. The characters are pretty much believable. Over all, it is a top tier novel.

The plot my not be legendary but i think it fits this romantic setting.
The characters are really nice. You will find nice sex scenes but the fit to the story very nice and not like some games that overuse sex scene after sex scene... 4/5

Very nice game!!People might say that story is a bit cliche but they're wrong.
The story is good and well paced,renders and models are fine.The conclusion of the story seemed excellent.
The only thing that's its lacking is animations but for me that isnt a negative since the rest of the game is good.
Worth the try the dev deserves some love for this .

Loved this long and well written love story. Big plus for the seldom and well placed decision dialogs, which for a refreshing change didn't spam the storytelling to shreds just with a constant dialog overload.
There's a place for both approaches, but nicely done.

It is really a lovely VN, with very adorable female characters and not a scumbag male one. Renders are decent. It's not long but not to short eighter, amount of content is decent aswell. The story is belivable espiecially in the erotic VN industry.

For me Triangle is an absolutely fantastic game, it was a nice romance story without any need or use of annoying drama or anything else along those lines and the game was able to end on a high note and not end up with the feeling that it was rushed. None of the three main characters came off as annoying (Which is a huge plus for me) and I highly enjoyed the story.

One of THE best harem games out there: beautifiul renders, great looking gals, awesome story AND managed to get to a spectacular finish. My thanks to the developer for gracing the eroge genre with this precious gem right here.

Now...if only we can get a double triangle when the kids grow up...will the dev have the balls to do it? *dun dun dun

The game had really good premises, seemingly providing the player with multiple paths and kinks: you could try to have the MC to be faithful to the wife (sort of love path), or be secretive (cheating path) of his newfind love interest, or sharing everything (harem path). Until one point where the game just forced you to have the MC reveal everything. That's weak, uninteresting, boring, and stripped the game of its key variable (be secretive or not). For me that's one star, because there are developers with far more quality (and courage) that deserve better ratings.

A really nice, feel-good VN. I enjoyed it a lot.

The renders are quite nice, both the girls are gorgeous, even if the MC (in the few places we see him) is not looking the part much. Sarah actually does look her age, something a lot of games struggle with.

The characters are fun and cute. Sarah is fun and interesting, Jenny is cute beyond doubt. MC didn't really come out as nice of a guy as the dev tried to make him, but that may be just me.

The story... needed a lot more time to develop IMO, but if those going to work parts are whole weeks and not 8 hours - I can get it. The whole - I didn't even know you before two weeks and now I want your babies and like you and your wife DP-ing me kind of made me think "that's quick even for a teenager". Anyhow, that's my only nitpick.

Play it, you won't regret it.

PS: For all the preggo lovers - it's a really and game content and it's two scenes.

I really enjoyed this story. Now that its complete I am going to miss it.

9/10 - Character Models (The design of the characters were great. I loved the fact that the characters had realistic proportions rather than having obnoxiously large flotation devices that look like it would be impossible to stand upright. Could have used a little bit more detail but what really sold me was how much care and effort that went into the facial expressions which is kind of rare in these games. It's sad how many games out there have characters that look like they have permanent constipation so thumps up to Neverlucky for his effort.)

8/10 - Story (Story was great but it kind of felt like there was a lack of something to overcome. Everything just flows smoothly. I am a sucker for the happy endings)

5/10 - Choices (The game could really have used some more impactful choices. The choices only affected dialogue and there weren't that many of them. It was a true visual novel)

I can't wait to see what Neverlucky has in store for his next story.

I came here to be a filthy degenerate playing/reading porn novels/games not to shed manly tears for a happy ending.
