There was a real threat -- to their fictitious power.I would argue that the threat being real instead of fictitious matters quite a lot.

I see your point. And while I agree that "their actions are at least understandable", I would argue that people acting based on what they believe to be true is also understandable. Generally, people don't take actions without believing they are justified in one way or another — will bring them pleasure, are going to satisfy a need, will save them from danger, etc. So technically, real or not, it should be understandable that people will take actions, even if you don't agree with them or their reasoning.I would argue that the threat being real instead of fictitious matters quite a lot. Especially when they have proof of necromancy/magic existing. It's not that i'm arguing that they are good or that their methods are good, i'm just saying that their actions are at least understandable and in the setting somewhat acceptable, due to the threat they have. As i said, some times threats/crisis doesn't have good options to solve it, only bad and least bad option. That is also true in real life. Which also means i definitely am not faulting any hunters who after finishing their task, decides to retire and not return.
Excellent point. Is it actually about saving the world, or is that just an excuse to cling to their control over their brainwashed / heavily subdued people? There was a real threat -- to their fictitious power.
thats exactly why I brought up the Gray Knights every Guard regiment that helps them gets somehow lost, its not a great thing for them to do by any margin, but the price if they didn't would be sooooo much worse. And in this game the Alignment is a real event that did happen not that long ago, so I'm pretty sure every person that isnt living in the woods far of any civilization knows that the thread of Undead in any form is real.A lot of bad shit has happened in world history "for the greater good". I don't think that's even remotely an excuse for how they torture and "reward" success among their own people. That just sounds like an excuse for being evil. So the cult's goals notwithstanding, they are pieces of garbage for doing what they do (minus the hunting of evil artefacts, obviously).
explaining why they do it isnt the same as excusing it. In MCs position i would do my damnest to save her even if i had no interest in her. But the MC is not a common man he is the Archmage of the north and has the help of at least 6 other spellcasters, he is also specialized in killing necromancers and finding their corruption. That is nothing normal folk can mobilize just because. In that regard he has probably more magic resources than Eshe's order and a few similar combined. So saving them is probably not feasible for the order or they would do it. Rites like that normally dont get created without the necessity for them.Yep. And that was kind of my point as well. There was mentioned about her final destiny, and I was just saying that anyone who doesn't want to rescue Eshe from that cult is effectively rubber-stamping their methods. Just an opinion, but it's how I see it.
see my comment on the Alignmentfolks in the world of this game who think liches or similar are just myths to scare kids or whatever.
It kinda does if the threat is real, you dont have a "normal" live when, they get eaten by zombies next year. I dont say its cool, but in that world its necessary.Believing there is a real danger doesn't justify torturous child-abuse training or treating people like discardable assets.
Hard disagree on practically all of your points. Let's just leave it there.thats exactly why I brought up the Gray Knights every Guard regiment that helps them gets somehow lost, its not a great thing for them to do by any margin, but the price if they didn't would be sooooo much worse. Also most other members probably wouldn't want saving in the first place.

Ya know, there's really not much point in threatening him with a good time...Is that anyway to talk to your English teacher? Time for punishment.

Huh. I guess I disagree. It reminds me more of a blood theme, and being a battle mage, I think it's fitting. IDK that I'd dislike a black outfit; I do think that would probably look decent. But I prefer the red he's got personally.I love the game but I really prefer the black cloak on the mc the red is getting old kinda makes the mc look like a bum
I agree with the battle mage part but the Mc is a Arc mage now I would keep the battle style color and swap it on the black cloak but idk it’s just my opinionHuh. I guess I disagree. Yep, that's cool. I was just expressing my own; obviously your opinion is equally valid. Everyone has their own preferences.I agree with the battle mage part but the Mc is a Arc mage now I would keep the battle style color and swap it on the black cloak but idk it’s just my opinion
