I totally get your point and agree with it to some extent, truly a game with this many love interests and side chicks Is a bit over the top. Truly there would be no way in reality to juggle that many women. First time thru the game go for all of them to see the story. then can pick and choose a few favorites to make it more your story. I don't know if the story will substitute your regular LI's into spaces if you choose to skip nights with ogres or not. would be nice to have more time allotted to a few you choose then a new one nightly. As for Ayaka the tsundere reference is very apt but isnt that the secret to them they are already in love and try to hide it?I can see all of that, but it also feels like the writer just isn't great at conveying emotion. This is my first playthrough and I really like the story and many of the characters but some of the grammar problems are rough at times and the relationships do not feel earned - except for the original four (MC, Mal, Shani and Nisha) and I guess Gweyr to a lesser extent. It's more like they go from being companions/friends to suddenly showing up in his bedroom and deciding they want to be his exclusively for life. This is especially pronounced with Ayaka who stated out being semi-Tsundere and then MC was nice to her twice and then she was in love. He also doesn't seem to do much repeat business in the bedroom. It's all good though, I still like the story, just that aspect of it seems a bit tacked on rather than woven in.
Apparently yes, she actually liked him and tried to hide it but I'm just saying the veil comes down completely very quickly - from "what do you want peasant" to "I love you and want to be with you forever and have your babies" in a very short amount of time. It's ok though. I'm in it for the story. As far as I can tell, it does not substitute in extra content if you stick to just a few, but you don't really spend enough time with any of them for a solo path to be worthwhile. (She might be the only one, but you still don't see her/talk to her all that often). I think, by design, MC just fucks everything that moves but there really isn't much "romance". All good. I really like the story, it has a lot of good characters and none of the main ones are generic at all, they all have their own personality and their own stuff going on.I totally get your point and agree with it to some extent, truly a game with this many love interests and side chicks Is a bit over the top. Some people are like that. They go from meh to ultra-love level very quickly. I have a son like that. He falls madly in love ultra quick. Drives me nuts. Although the last one that happened with, he married and they have three children. Anyway, my point is, some people are like that go from zero to overdrive in love very quickly.Apparently yes, she actually liked him and tried to hide it but I'm just saying the veil comes down completely very quickly - from "what do you want peasant" to "I love you and want to be with you forever and have your babies" in a very short amount of time. Meh, like I said. It seemed a bit unreal to me, but it's fine. I'm playing this one for the story really - not the porn / romance / Lis. The story is good, the characters are good, the sex part is - he's a slut, and just about every female he meets falls into his bed sooner or later. To tell the truth I just kinda skip through most of the lewds in this one. Some people are like that. They go from meh to ultra-love level very quickly. I have a son like that. it seems quick, but isn't really. They were weeks on the road together, we just don't get all that because of the time jumps.Apparently yes, she actually liked him and tried to hide it but I'm just saying the veil comes down completely very quickly - from "what do you want peasant" to "I love you and want to be with you forever and have your babies" in a very short amount of time. As Juerhullycin pointed out, there's time skips that happen during the story since it would be quite boring to have repetitive days of travel. Plus you have to remember that before the switch happened, she basically had the shift of "I'm imperial noble" to "I'm adventurer on a road" happen to her mentality, because of the realities that on the road no one really gives a fuck if you're noble or not but if you can pull your weight. She did also say that only reason she acted like the way she acted before was because she had to keep the pretense of being noble and nobles not having interest in commoners, especially female nobles. Once she realized that she is freeish from all that BS, she realized that she doesn't need to hold back. It also helped that she could basically sever the ties with her noble family when her father tried to kill MC.Meh, like I said. It seemed a bit unreal to me, but it's fine. The only minor rebuttal I'll give to this is that it's clear Ayaka didn't just choose the MC, she told them Emperor she chose him, and negotiated a test to make sure her opinion of the MC matched his actions even while she "wasn't around" ... Still, that choice seems more on an academic/practical level ("He's the one that will let me be who I want to be") until after daddy tries to skewer us. She may already love the MC, but not sure even she realizes that until after the near-death event. As Juerhullycin pointed out, there's time skips that happen during the story since it would be quite boring to have repetitive days of travel. It's not just Ayaka, for the most part the relationships in this don't feel "earned" really, they just are. By earned I mean you meet someone, you go through some stuff and your relationship develops (or maybe there's instant attraction but then take some time getting to know each other). Most of the relationships in this seem more like - you meet, you chat a little bit, you are deeply in love. Any relationship development that happens during time jumps doesn't really count as it isn't part of the story, and isn't even really talked about. The exceptions being people like Shani and Iraea, where the relationship basically existed before the start of the story and those relationship are discussed more than others. There also isn't much discussion of how/why everyone is cool with being a small part of a massive harem. Shani talks about it a little bit, but that's about it. As I said though, it doesn't bother me much. I still like the story, and most of the characters, it's just one of the shortcomings for me.The only minor rebuttal I'll give to this is that it's clear Ayaka didn't just choose the MC, she told them Emperor she chose him, and negotiated a test to make sure her opinion of the MC matched his actions even while she "wasn't around" ... Ayaka does talk about the implied cultural zeitgeist towards strong leaders having harems, and the idea that a virial man makes for a strong leader (clearly very important in the "monster" cultures). The harem parade was definitely jumpstarted by becoming the orc chieftain, and then explodes exponentially when he becomes the archmage of the tower. It's not just Ayaka, for the most part the relationships in this don't feel "earned" really, they just are. As long as you realize that most of us have zero problem with thisI wasn't really going to respond to any of this, but I'm bored while waiting assets to load.

Anyway, end of rant, and probably the first and last time I address this.
Yeah I don't really understand the "earning" things because the story is well written so we can see the different evolution of the relationship between all the character. I'm a romance guy in game and I really like love story so yeah in my opinion I would like more romance but I have to understand that not all the LI are in a same state of sentiment and emotion as Shani or Iraea even if i'd like that.I wasn't really going to respond to any of this, but I'm bored while waiting assets to load.
