I went into this journey expecting to play a murder mystery/ protection theme with some sister-loving moments thrown in for those who enjoy them.
WOW, it's the exact opposite as far as I have gotten in the story.
The expectations were along the lines of, touching down at the arrival, more of a goodbye scene with the MC's new girlfriend with more meaning added to let the reader know she is supposed to be an integral part of his life now.
Getting picked up by either the security detail or Bartholemew himself to go over the safety routine and plan out a solid line of protection, which is the REASON he is there (and WHERE are the "Guards" or "protection" at ALL when he gets there??)
Once he arrives at his daughter's mansion there would have been a scene or two of "I hate you, why are you even here asshole, etc" when all he has to DO is show her the letter left for him in her mother's OWN handwriting...or she can talk to Jules...or ANYONE else that knew them since everyone seems to know exactly what happened and how he ISNT a prick after all...everyone BUT her of course.
OH, the scene where the MC loses his shit after Deb even suggests just explaining it to clear the air was confusing since there is no logical REASON to withhold that information at all.
Then perhaps, going over all the information the police had to figure out the M.O. and the one responsible for the "apparent murder or accident" trying to get more insight and background to solve that mystery with the help of the police, while every day, the MC calling his girlfriend to spend the last part of the evening with her before sleeping.
I passed through one scene of protection, almost like it was thrown in to make it relevant (so the viewer remembered WHY he was in that house in the first place) then right back to gawking at the 2 girls closest to him.
Speaking of those two, I find they look mighty..."Handsome" rather than beautiful, with the sister's thin frame and masculine face, and the Daughter, wow I seriously thought we were going to get an expo telling us how "She" used to be a "He, which is fine for a story, but many of the renders I have seen are difficult to look at her as a girl/ woman.
Most of the fitness-loving women I know are about half that size, still very muscular, but focusing on about 4% BF index (body fat) whereas some who are larger GOT that way with added assistance like male hormones (Why her mother found it a good idea to include the picture getting out of the pool as a main focus, which the MC even called "porn-like", is beyond me unless she is trying to get the MC to feel attracted to her).
The last shot I witnessed before I shut it down was the dinner scene, where the MC's Swedish girlfriend "returned the favor" by sending him a picture of a tasty morsel.
The way Milli's reaction renders were drawn literally made her look like a man with a pigtail wig on for real.
I went back a couple of times to look at it from a different perspective and still came out with the same result.
Most of the reading I had was focused on how his sister is the #1 girl in his life (something he mentioned to his new girlfriend??), Deb getting physically close is ALL her fault, he can never just put the distance between them at ALL and behave properly at Jules request, how he can't take his eyes off his daughter, with the other girls added in for flavor it seems.
If the story DOES pick up afterward, where we find out WHERE the fuck his daughter's security detail are (JULES even mentioned them yet we never see one at ALL, nor have we been introduced to the lead guard even), the plan of action where we are focused more on how to live till tomorrow when an apparent psychopath is REALLY wanting to get an information file or its DEATH to the family and spend less time thinking about and staring at his relatives almost exclusively, it would be a refreshing change, and a boost to continue the story for me.
This post is my own opinion, which is how I went through the story as far as I took it, and doesn't deserve backlash, anger, or abusive comments telling me how WRONG I must be to look at it that way at all.
If you see it differently or how you HOPE it is meant to be, that's on you, and possibly, you can enjoy your version or viewpoint further than I did.
