Try loading a save, watching the scenes, then saving right after? I don't really know what went wrong in the first place.
Flawless not showing up is a known issue; I forgot to assign its image.

I finally managed to play this, and I am positively surprised.
Biggest annoyance I found was that right-click aborts scenes with no confirmation and there's no way to load a save mid combat when it's clear things are going pear shaped.
Looking forward to how this continues - unironally because of the story.

Fire Emblem (the first 5 games) in a nutshell; pray RNG doesn't decide to just massacre one of the characters you're trying to level up.
Yeh, a bit of savescumming is certainly involved.
