if you're playing on pc, simply right click into the save menu, then right click back to the game, do this every time it happens. worked for me as a workaround until the dev addresses the issue.
Dude they really need to change that door knock sound, I always almost get a heart attack

After last update he siad it will be 2-3 montns between updates.
There is an old post on his patreon and she is presumably wearing the same corset they bought in the current chapter.
