Here's little tutorial on a makeshift way on how to change the FOV, because I could not find anything on the subject.
Works with 0.42b release currently.

Get bepinex 6.00 IL2CPP x64

You must be registered to see the links

And put it into main folder of the game.

Game folder should look like this.

You must be registered to see the links

And put the folder into trufacials\BepInEx\plugins\
You may have to create plugins folder.

Run the game. May take a while to load for the first time. (that's been the case for me, had to restart anyway)
If you've done everything correctly, the Unity Explorer should work.
Click on Object Explorer and search for "OrbitCamera", click on it, and later on "UnityEngine.Camera".

Find Camera.fieldOfView, type in a new number and apply. Click yellow COPY button as well because... DISCLAIMER! FOV will reset upon character or map change, and the UnityExplorer will glitch out.

Hit F7 to hide all menus.
Now - How to bring back the FOV after character or map change.
Bring the menu back with F7 and follow this path.

Click that square and FOV should be fixed.

PS: Idk why this version of the plugin glitches out. Perhaps you guys can make it work with a different version BepInEx or Unity Explorer that works ok. I have absolutely no idea about Unity so.

Abandoned tag on f95zone doesn't mean a game is abandoned, it is a tag for games that had not received any updates for months. Although in this case it might mean it is actually abandoned since dev is nowhere to be found But this dev has done this before so unless he says "I've abandoned this project" we might never know for sure if he is still working on it or not.

I mean you're not wrong, it's just peoples "benefit of doubt" burned out long ago around here.

It's been discussed in this thread many times. Most probable cause is due to NTLEAS being built into the game, it's known to create false positive results. Staff have approved the files, and nobody in this thread has ever posted concrete evidence to say the files are actually malicious. With anything from the internet, use your own discretion.

Unfortunately the game reboots my PC after a few minutes.. Anyone else have this problem? It never happened with any other game. I use rtx3080ti so I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware problem.

Loose description aside, I'm assuming your computer suddenly shuts down then reboots.

I've had that happen on some really heavy games with my old system, and it was because my PSU was undersized for what my machine was capable of. If your GPU + CPU are able to pull more watts than your PSU can deliver, that's probably it.

If not, the only other thing I can think of is heat. Are your all the fans working and not clogged with dust? If you have water cooling make sure the radiators are clean. And as a last ditch, apply new paste and reseat the CPU cooler.

Could also be something to do with power options within your system settings. That's a google search for you to find what's recommended.

Exactly it but what makes me confused is that it never happened with any other game, I use my PC a lot and in games much heavier than this one. With 3080ti I can tank 4k~60fps in virtually any game. I'm going to try a few things, if it works I come back to comment about it. I rule out problems with my system but I can't blame the game either since it seems that the problem didn't reach people here.

No fps limit combined with lack of optimizations could be overheating your system, that could cause a restart as a safety measure so your computer doesn't get damaged. While playing games, I suggest monitoring gpu and cpu temps with rivatuner, you can set a fps limit with it too.

this is really good advice right here overall. ALWAYS have an fps limit set globally because framerates higher than what your monitor can handle are wasted heat, noise, part lifespan (including PSU that supplies the extra power and other parts that get surrounded by unnecessary heat) and power consumption, so what ends up happening is you paying to have your PC die faster

Yeah I figured out the problem. I use a 49" monitor so resolutions below 4k explode the pixels but this game (till now the only one I had problems, certainly due to the horrible optimization) was literally frying my computer. For test questions I put it in 2k resolution and my PC stopped to reboot. If I want to play it I'll have to use the resolution 3200x1800 to have a balance between "pixel burst" and a "playable" resolution at the same time avoiding fry my GPU.

I think you meant the game is stretched to fill your 4k monitor?
If that's the case, it is probably better to play it in windowed mode at 1080p.

No no.. English isn't my main language so forgive me if it got that sense.

I believe that due the really poor optimization of the game even my 3080ti can't handle it in true 4k resolution it's why my pc is frying and rebooting. Playing it in windowed mod adjusting it to a smaller screen (considering my monitor is a 49" monster) could help save some "GPU firepower" but believe me... I tried it and play it in windowed mod if it's not "full windowed" it's kind of impossible... You can't acess the side menu and keep pressing "f11" to change screen believe me... it shits the whole game.

So the way I found was to continue playing it in fullscreen but at a lower resolution. With 3200x1800 I need less "firepower" of my GPU avoind to fry it and even at fullscreen the pixels don't blown-up on my 49" monitor(Well.. In fact they blown, but at least it's within the acceptable range). But it still shows that this game was really not well made, as I said above I can tank 4k~60 fps in much heavier games than this one. I deduced that the problem would be the system's difficulty in tanking 4k because apparently this shouldn't happen to many people... maybe because they use a regular size monitor and don't use 4k.



Off topic: But what does monitor size have to do with this shit? Well.. in terms of performance... obviously NOTHING but anyone who uses these exaggerated screens knows that the "pixel density" factor becomes a very sensitive topic. I think above 40" 4k becomes a "must have" if you really want the pixels to look nice without that blown-up look.

I swear Henry is the biggest boneheaded genius.

If you adjust the frame limit slider to the right, the cap goes as low as 15fps. No clue why this would even exist.
All the way to the left is uncapped.

I'm trying to find a launch parameter to set the in-game screen resolution, doesn't appear to be working. And bonehead HT disabled the Unity launch settings via hold shift.

I know screen resolution has a big impact on performance. With a 49" monitor I would assume this is a custom resolution?
If I run Cyberpunk @ 4k without DLSS, I get about 5fps with the graphics maxed out and raytracing on psycho. (Around 70fps with DLSS.)
I also have a 3080ti, and an overclocked i7 11700k. Running at 1080 is no issue whatsoever.

Yes. I tested a few resolution and I thought 3200x1800 has a good balance relieving some "pressure" on the GPU without blowing-up pixels while in fullscreen in a big screen.

I think it's the main point... if you have a regular size monitor you don't need 4k. You will get a beautiful image even at lower resolutions because the pixel density will be in balance.

I capped it to 4k~50fps through nVidia driver but it still fried the PC xD but now it's running fine in 3200x1800... Well it's not ideal but ok at least it was the first game that happened and it was certainly caused by the HT programming limitations.

If I remember correctly (really a memory effort when you talk about Henry...) he developed the game on a laptop...
so quite a lot of assumptions there when talking about optimization for powerful machines...
