Discord hasn´t mentioned anything about black screens and scripts. I f you can, please provide information about your game crash: when it happens, characters, maps, etc. If not related to that, then double check that you have the correct files. They should be like this:In the meantime I'm still stuck on blackscreen...
I'm quite positive it's about the new dialog scripts.

already tried everything...
drivers,directx and runtimes updated.
GDDR enhanced with switch to cpu ddr5
W10 fresh install (I'm upgrading, only miss the gpu)
0.52 works..
0.53 didn't
0.53a neither
0.52 upgraded with 0.53 bigger files works! but not the dialog menu...
that's why I suppose the problem lies in that script.

what gpu do you have?. The team has mentioned that iGPUs dont really work with 0.5x

earlier versions had some different characters. looking at 0.42, there was Samus and Zelda for example.
those are missing in 0.53
sadly, simply copypasting the character-files brings their icons into the game, but also gives me a blackscreen.
any way to fix that?

Trolling aside, copying a character from 0.4x to 0.5x will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS give you a black screen. ALWAYS. Samus and Zelda are not dead, but porting characters isn´t AWAYS fast nor ALWAYS easy, especially after the grapical update from 0.4 to 0.5. ALWAYS.quick question:

Not in the game yet; youll have to ask the team if that is even discussed. My opinion? It wont happen since most of the users dont have a VR set and it wouldnt make any sense to invest in someting that most people wont use
Well, this game is one of the few cases where it could be worth to actually pay for it.

Had fun with the new update today, so awesome. We have tracer again which is fucking amazing, LOVE tracer and tbh, toon-y brunette? It’s a good replacement for what Cass could have been. That ‘Marie’ character that’s added, no idea where she’s from but putting her outfit on other characters like Harley Quinn and going halfway in the ‘top’ slider so it’s just the tie, and the skirt? Fucking perfect. Harley’s outfit before this was pretty lame and shit and she’s sort of boring with no outfit, this is awesome. That ‘half slider top’ and skirt combo for the Marie outfit actually works really well on a lot of characters.
Ashley and her outfit on other characters is surprisingly good also, the thing they did where you can just have the jacket and no undershirt + max boob slider creates this cleavage effect you can do with any character, and she has a skirt also that’s pretty good. I recommend using both the Marie and Ashley outfits on other characters and seeing what you can do with the different combos.
That first descendant character is cool, too, I thought she was gonna be lame but actually, she looks really good in other character outfits, kinda like that BG3 character. It’s a good update.
Only bad things are that Cass is such a missed opportunity. She is by far the most ‘toon’-y character, and we have both bioshock and overwatch stuff, and her head to body ratio is huge also, and yet the boob slider is still locked at too low a value and as a result she’s just boring. She has this tiny frame that makes her look like a weird child next to everyone else and you can’t really fix it with sliders the way you should be able to. Devs NEED to let the sliders go farther, ASAP.
And the tifa outfit is boring, she looks boring in it and it looks boring on everyone else.
