True Facials v0.54 is now ready! As it comes with a lot of big technical changes under the hood, we decided to release this Technical Test version ahead of the full release early next month.

I. Characters:
Not all characters are included in this Technical Test, with the full roster (more than 50 now) to be released next month. The
Character-Poll for April will also start shortly.

II. Major Features + Devlog:
- We now utilize Dual Quaternion skinning with scaling + unlimited bones for characters, which offer much better overall deformation quality.
- Mesh normals (used to calculate lighting) is now calculated per frame which offer correct lighting in any pose and proportion.
- Clothing parts now deform the body together much more pleasantly.
Some of these are offline rendering techniques that are almost never used in games. Instead, developers use various hacks and workarounds to mask the errors. However, in order to push True Facials further, we needed to do this properly.
As such, many systems had to be written from scratch to keep all of our existing features like clothing, customization, fluid, physics, animation... working, while maintaining performance (they're offline techniques for a reason). It was quite a challenge, but also a chance for me to learn, improve the existing code, and think about how future features would fit.
Unfortunately, I didn't expect this much of an overhaul when we started, which heavily affected our release schedule. To improve on this, major features will now stay on another branch until they're ready. We can continue to release new content and smaller improvements in the meantime.
II. Other features & Improvements:
- [POSE] Wrists are now posable by dragging the forearm (different modes for LMB and RMB, hold Alt for tooltips).
- [POSE] Improved feet posing when placed on surfaces and fixed the twitching problem on some characters.
- [POSE] Improved elbow and knee pose with better control and range.
- [SCRIPTING] You can now play .mp3 sounds from the "Sounds" folder of your script with PlaySound or PlaySoundAt (example in Tutorial).
- [SCRIPTING] Characters can say any matching .mp3 voice file in the Voice folder with character.SayCustom(param[] searchStrings) (a random file if there are multiple matches) (example in Freemode's dialog with "Say something for me." option).
- Bedroom lamps can now be controlled per individual, and gym lights can be controlled per pair.
- Fixed some UI elements not updating properly.
- Fix the missing smearing mascara feature on some characters.
- Fix the problem with the body collision of several characters.
- Sound effect when ejaculation inside and outside.
- Patching several memory leak problems.
- Hailey now has a full sport bra, instead of half.
- Better match the skin color of several characters.
- Fixed various smaller problems such as Jinx’s eye control, Succubus's tail...
