Why is this dev so horribly against UIs and gizmos?
Rotating and positioning sucks, it's all finicky to try and rotate and place limbs and characters without gizmos, you literally only have your mouse and prayers.
Now if you want to color a character's piece of clothing you need to click on it holding a keyboard key and move the mouse around until it's kinda what you want, but there's no rhyme or reason to do that over a fucking color wheel.
IT'S NOT FUCKING ROCKET SCIENCE, JUST USE GIZMOS AND A COLOR WHEEL LIKE ANY FUCKING DECENT PIECE OF SOFTWARE EVER. YOU ARE CREATING A PROBLEM BY IGNORING THESE SIMPLE SOLUTIONS

We can complain about the game's up and downs all we want, but seeing everytime 30 people asking about installation is getting really old...

Does it changing the links in the OP to "Addons" or "Characters" really cost so much?

Fix it Dice!
I've sent a ticket to the mods, so let's wait and see how they decide to handle this.

Like I said before, Henry either has a deep-seated grudge against user-friendly UI or simply never learned how to make one. There's a small chance he secretly enjoys watching people suffer, but let's be real, he's probably just incredibly stubborn.

I don't get anyone's frustration with the game mechanics, as far as posing and getting scenes that you like this game is light years in front of anything out there and the more bare bones it is the more details you can achieve, TF is a sandbox game for crying out loud, you get toys and you play around with them to the best of your imagination and abilities, not to mention sex is such a fluid movement that it's literally almost impossible to translate into gameplay even with motion capture technology let alone programing body collisions from scratch, just look at the state of Fifa or other sports games which are scripted as hell and don't even come close to this in certain terms, it ain't perfect but you got serious issues if you're letting a few mouse clicks and a bit of patience stand in the way of getting a good scene in this game...

There's no legitimate reason for the game to not implement a feature that every 3D software ever has. It's just complicating stuff out of sheer stupidity, ignorance, stubborness or a mix of the three. Nothing of what you mentioned is a valid point as to why this game / piece of software lacks something so primitive and necessary for 3D works as gizmos.
It's not a few mouse clicks, it's a whole problem of trying to interact with 3D objects through a 2D plane, it's a problem that exists solely because the dev can't fathom implementing gizmos and other cohesive UI elements.

Yeah I could invest time into this and learn this backwaters proprietary placing system, but the reason I need to is not because the system is so intricate and in-depth as to require my time. It's because the system sucks and It's different from the system we as a society agreed was the best.

This program isn't really a "game", it lacks any actual gameplay mechanics. Instead, it functions more as a scene creator or a character poser, depending on how you use it. Because of that, it's perfectly reasonable for people to compare it to other scene creation tools and point out the absence of fundamental features, such as gizmos.

The idea that "the more bare-bones it is, the more detail you can achieve" simply doesn't make sense. Try positioning a character in programs like Koikatsu/Honey Select Studio, COM3D2, or Virt-A-Mate. You'll be able to do so with ease because those applications include gizmos that allow precise control. You can align characters and objects perfectly, down to the pixel, with minimal effort.

Now, try doing the same thing in TF. You'll quickly find it's a struggle. Perfect alignment becomes nearly impossible because there are no gizmos, no character transparency toggles (which other programs have), and constant camera adjustments are required. You end up relying entirely on your eyes while dragging characters around in 3D space, and it's far too easy to accidentally move them in the wrong direction when all you wanted was a simple forward adjustment.

This isn't something that should be praised or romanticized. It's like applauding a chef for serving soup but refusing to provide a spoon (a tool invented centuries ago for a good reason). It's 2025; let's not pretend that ignoring well-established tools and standards is somehow a good thing.

As others have written already: it is not just a few mouse clicks. While the interface is nice for very basic posing, it completely falls apart, once you want to create more complex poses. The devs unwillingness to implement tried and tested posing tools is really baffling. As it stands, the current controls are imprecise and require an excessive amount of user input that really should not be necessary.

On top of that, fine tuning certain poses is almost impossible "thanks to" camera view-dependent translation/rotation controls. Keeping in mind that the game is first and foremost a character poser with limited animation capabilities - it might become a solid VN builder eventually - this program needs solid posing controls, that allow precise manipulation, copying, mirroring, use of template poses, undo-functionality and more.

Creating posing software without proper posing controls just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

It stays on black screen for eternity. Then system error pops up says program is not responsive.
What's your pc specs?
The game is quite demanding on the cpu side especially.
Even mine was stuttering quite a bit after spawning around 9 characters in the gym map.(4 girls 5 guys)

You got that right, this shit is VERY demandin', starting with only skybox texture is 16k (okay human eyes is approximately 576 megapixels, which theoretically is around a 32K resolution is approximately) for a Unity 'game' just way too much (bigger then VAM2 .. lol), then characters, texture, psyhics, hair, evo, light, shadow ... etc. every damn effect is overscaled, not optimazed, et al. On my PC has good-ish FPS on 3/6 monitor and 5090 + i9-14900k + 128GB DDR5 7200MHZ.

As always Henry goes too far with every update, he updating his 'Unity something' if he very needs money as always. He gives a shit to the users and modders. And after all these years I just gonna ignore this thread and the 'developer'.

See ya on better and way to perverted topic / page. :sneaky: Have a nice weekend all!

I would be happy if they just added more columns to the scene and character gallery. This change would require so little effort. And then the option to sort saved scenes by category and map. It's that simple, yet they have no intentions to do it in the near future.

No wonder mine is struggling quite a bit, and mine is just a dinky potato headass i7 3770 with 1050ti.....

I'm not even going to wake up my old 1070 with this game, if you have good-ish fps my poor card will get a chip-attack before even opening the damn thing
Mine's running fine albeit struggling a bit with a 1050ti.
The problem is the CPU usage it demands.
