It's almost comical how pretty much everything from 0.5 onward has been an utter waste of time and now Henry is pretty much MIA again. 0.42b is the last version of this project that wasn't dogshit. The copium in this thread is wild.

The update has been literally announced and delayed, now it will hopefully come in these days of February, if you just bothered to check the server, they even said when they resumed the game's work after Lunar's New Year. Henry isn't MIA, but you are welcomed to guess if all you ever look is F95 and nothing more.

You should learn about what is going on with the game before just becoming another doomer.

I hope it improves performance as it is unplayable on my RTX 3060.

Unreal for the UI is correct, that's what runs the menus before launching the specific game.
The games themselves are running natively - genuine PC ports. The first 2 games actually had PC editions back in the old days, and those versions are what's used for the MCC release. The others were built for Xbox 360, which isn't all that different to a Windows PC, and porting them was practical.

There are some big differences between old Halos and this. First, yes, this is quite badly optimised, and old Halos had to be very optimised so they could run on old consoles. But it's more than that. Despite being pretty small in scale, this game uses a big chunk of tech that old Halos just couldn't. Halo Reach is not running 4k textures, or soft body physics, or high-detail hair physics, or advanced lighting with subsurface skin details, or advanced fluid physics. Those are all things that are very performance intensive, even today.
well this is even more of a reason as to why it should have a proper graphics settings menu, tho its honestly hard to tell that the game has physics at least for me, they seem rather... stiff.
but for a game that apparently has 4k textures it barely uses up any ram which is odd. But something has to be wrong with the coding too, its far too resource hungry for what it is. I even used unity explorer to disable some assets from the game and it barely does a thing
that sometimes helps in other unity games, not in this one lol. Even removing both characters and the map doesn't make the framerate go up
but i'm no game dev

On a side note, I kinda hate the controls of this game still
specially the camera, its so slow and clunky.
you need 3 fucking hands to play this thing i feel lol
controlling the direction of the eyes is also something that's really awkward, like I sometimes want the woman to look at the dick but its super hard to do without any sort of guide as to where you are pointing the eyes towards, like a line or SOMETHING, game does tell you where she's looking but its super imprecise at least for me, since i have to put the camera in front of her face to do that

I'd love to see more detailed body editing, though isn't that what is supposed to come out in this next patch? Funny how the hips slider does the same thing as the waist slider.

Of course a game like Villain Simulator is the king of body editing detail, but TF feels a lot less rigid and plastic on the interaction side of things.
What i would like more honestly is that the body / models themselves were improved, increasing thigh thickness just looks... really odd to me, maybe its because im used to 3d anime?. But the 3d models here look really odd proportions wise.
I dunno, but it looks odd, doesn't look "natural"
also being able to change ball size separately would be nice, dunno why he never made a slider for that
maybe a FOV slider for the cameras too since at least to me it feels way too zoomed in, specially when you are trying to tweak certain things and you cant because the models are too close to each other. (its not always feasable to move them away)
speaking of cameras i have no clue how to control the view in first person, it moves painfully slow for me

Tell Henry that for optimization if he updates to FSR3.1+ that's new enough that it can just be swapped/manually updated from that point on by user, like DLSS & XeSS can. The version he's using was probably the last before that was possible.

If a new version of this game is actually is coming, I hope it actually improves performance a fair bit, it can barely run on a 7900XTX. I don't know why he won't allow turning off the background to save resources.

I don't know why it's unplayable for you, on my 3060 12 GB everything works fine

Doesn't line up with the performance I'm getting, even assuming you're using 1080p. I'm using fake "4K" FSR quality, which at 67% res per axis puts it at less than 45% resolution, and the fps results I'm getting are a joke.

Wrong... Intel 100°C and AMD target to get the max. performance at 90°C. When it not rises more than its not a problem...
Check screenshots, in one of them it reaches 90°C when under 33% load. It is going to burn not just pc but whole house when used under 100% load :KEK:

game is cpu heavy, upscaling won't help you in any way if your cpu isn't at least ?5600/12400f? level of performance with your 3060

I'm keeping an eye on the processor and thinking about changing the cooling tower. This is a Ryzen 7 7700x and 100% won't work on it because the load will be limited by the video card in games (I don't have any other tasks for it). It's funny, I removed this tower from a little hotter processor (just 12400f). Maybe the auto-overclocking is to blame because it defaults to 4500 MHz.

I swear.. I don't understand what's happening.. (or I just messed up big times). But I tried the 7 people scene from above and get 33 fps w/cpu screaming at 50%, downscaled 85% same shit..
Than tried to suicide at 4K and this is what I get!!!!! wtf! I give up..

What? I hae 6900xt and i run it with no problems at all probably more than 60 fps

"game" is bottlenecked by cpu. And I mean optimization wise, it has nothing to do with your pc. Increasing resolution doesn't affect cpu much/at all, that's handled by graphics card. You can clearly see it in your screenshot it is under 100% load.

I know, but I didn't think so much, by the way I also think to know why..
It's that stupid giggling! Multiply that movement by 37-5 IK bones per character and you have an idea of how many calculations the cpu has to perform.. (I think)

By the way I was making a couple of trials, and guess what.. Lossless Scaling still works (partially: not the frame gen), but I managed to run it at 60 fps in 4K Native AA with just the canonic camera artifacts.
Just a showoff (I'll never use it), but it also mean that the old trick I used with the 1060 still works.

Yep, the reason was the CPU auto-overclocking. I went into the BIOS (I don't like it - it's inconvenient and not fully translated) and blocked the frequency by default.

But there is a noticeable decrease in "quality of life" - loading has become a realy longer and freezes have appeared.
So I need to buy more powerful cooling and put the boost back.
