I didn't use the version before the restart, but based on the screenshots, the new one seems like quite the upgrade that was worthwhile. I don't like the new face of the FF7R Tifa as much as the older models, but aside from that one detail, the quality overall seems much higher.

Even if it means waiting much longer, I'd rather that, than have a lower quality simulator.

I have sufficient enough performance for it not to be distracting, but it's barely so, considering my 3070 is pegged at 100% i'm not surprised most people would have performance issues, especially in this GPU market where everything is prohibitively expensive and in short supply, i'm glad i managed to snatch a 30xx card before it got too crazy.

Well if the dev has any sense he'll add setting soon so more people aside from those with high end GPUs will be able to get tolerable frame rates. Can't have a customer base to support him on Patreon if most people can't run the game.

Keep in mind, you're talking about a dev who went dead silent for over a year between the release of 0.39 and 0.4

In fact, we have several people who wrote that everything is going well for them, and a few who complain about the performance of the game version 0.4
In this case, people who complain of poor performance, do not write all your hardware (and I am most likely convinced that you did not even write Henry on discord, at least for feedback)
I have such a setup, and I almost did not have problems. Except when you increase the amount of sperm and make it thick, then fps drops to 160-140
Maybe the problem is really in the game (remember, this is version 0.4, anything can affect performance), maybe the problem is in your pc (bad setup with bottleneck, miners, defective components), idk.
The best thing you can do besides patreon support is to give the most accurate and detailed feedback about your hardware, performance and gaming experience. Then you just have to wait and, perhaps, in the next updates you will be able to enjoy the game.

After playing TF 0.4 Comeback for more than 8 hours, I had only few frame drops and also the playability is not as bad as some folks mention. With a little patience, I became more and more familiar with posing the gals the way I wanted. Besides...my old MSI Notebook with an i7, a 6 GB GeForce and 16 GB RAM handles TF 0.4 C better than I've expected.

Well, so you actually can speak, and actually be helpful; I thought you were just trolling, my bad.

200 fps on that opening scene with Tifa at 4K with a 2080 Super... meanwhile I get 46 or so at 1440p with a 3080. I'm on the latest driver 471.96 but the same issues existed with older drivers. I did list my CPU as well, a 3900X like you, but running significantly faster than most benchmarks of one in games due to the IF/RAM/MC at 1.9GHz, and to a lesser extent because it's OC'd to 4.35GHz on the fastest cores. Only 16GB RAM but it's not being filled up.

I'll report my this issue with my full specs on Discord, I would have before if I had more info and knew that was an option.

60FPS at 1440 is not asking much with decent hardware, the game needs some tweaking without doubt but Henry is a very talented dev and in the next few releases I am sure things will run a bit more smoothly.

Why would you want to do that, 0.4 makes the older versions obsolete despite the extra characters. It's so much better in every other way.

That said search back through the thread, someone uploaded 3.9

I'm calling BS on that 4k(!!!) screenshot showing 200fps, no fucking WAY you are getting that high of fps unless you're missing a decimal point somewhere, 20 would be believable.
I get around 30@1440p in the starting scene with a 5700xt/r5 2600, I wouldn't even expect a 3090 to scale that well.

If it only shows Aerith, then you have only the Preview version, which, along with other issues, only has Aerith. Try downloading again from one of the links in the OP. It should be a zip file with the name " TrueFacials_Pro_0.4_Comeback ".

should be noted that his cpu is clocking at 4100mhz, big bad GPU isn't necessarily the key to high frame rate.
200fps is perfectly believable at an idle state, his screenshot implies it's taken immediately after launching the game.
but just like he stated, the physics collision cum is the frame killer.
