Checked it on VirusTotal.
Bunch of noname garbage flagged it as infected, while MalwareBytes, Kaspersky, ESET, Microsoft and others didn't flag it.

I think this is the classic antivirus overreacting. As the new version of the game had some huge changes, the .exe file and probably the background proccesses changed big time also.
Like how a cracked game might give you false positives even though you know damn sure that the crack is safe.

Until the big AV companies give alerts on the exe, I wouldn't think too much into this.
Ofc it would be good to talk to Henry about this, and confirm wtf is going on, after all he is the dev.

Hi, I'm no expert, but since my AVs are flaggin' green I tryed your method and the results are the same...
so, looking at the results I understand nothing, but in the behaviour tab they say it drops various eggs, looked for them and nothing found.
I also googled for a specific toyan detected by one of the scanners, and after a few readings, it turns out as a common false positive flagged by the very same av flagging it in virustotal... (I used quite a lot of repetitions there, sorry)

My conclusions, either the file is clean and some programs are over reacting to sell you the solution 4 a problem you don't have ( think I've heared this already...) or the good Henry, while is letting his girlfriends suck you, is f...ing you in the...

Different characters were available in previous versions (0.39 being the last). In 0.40, afaik, creator built the game again--now with only 3 available characters and Cloud as male char.

oh so 0.4 is actually meant to be 0.40, that makes a lot more sense now, so that's why 0.4 looked a lot more polished than 0.39 even though it has less content.

it's something tied to my windows user since even though i redownloaded a different version of the game in a separate folder the issue still persisted.

but that gave me a clue of how to fix it, i just had to change the name of the .exe and all settings were back to default (it complains about missing the _data folder so you just need to change the name of that too to the new one).

yea I think you're right, I mean I've been using cracks my entire life and SOO MANY FUCKING TIMES the cracks get deleted by Win Defender...even though I know 100% that they are from safe sources and have been using said sources since the beginning...

That's a good idea, I imagine people have a lot of characters they would like to do this to.

It would be better more logic and overall more efficient if you would work together with Meshed VR implementing it into VAM 2.x directly

It will be interesting who will be faster you implementing a user friendly not to complex character customization and import system and trying to reach VAM System complexity or Meshed VR and Co a as good working Cumshot (Fluid Simulation, SDF complexity) System ontop of their improved Physics Performance on the new Unity Branch

My personal bet is VAM 2.x reaching a comparable Cumshot Simulation complexity result pretty fast

You need to get used to it but when you training a bit you can get awesome animation results in no time and it overall got much more crash prone with the freeze physics on move and update on move hold.

In VAM 2.0 it should be not needed anymore, but well see it's no easy task to make it stable without getting to the Unity Core directly.

not entirely true, you do have to jump through some learning hurdles, but once you understand the limitations and you understand the plugins needed to create good animations, VAM is a powerhouse for creating virtual porn. the problem is the aforementioned hurdles, VAM is not friendly for new users, it's convoluted and there are several methods to achieve the same results - ie there's like five or six different ways to load one character into a scene. there's a plethora of methods for animating.

VAM is also much harder on the PC, with two characters in an animated scene with maxed graphics and physics, i can usually get between 30-60fps. adding any more than two characters chokes my CPU, without tweaking the settings. there's also the storage dilemma with VAM, my folder is 330GB right now, because I'm too lazy to sift through the years of content and delete the garbage. I ended up buying an NVME drive just for VAM.

TF is still very early in development, and is clearly missing some integral features, especially for creating poses.
best example being the lack of nodes, clicking on various body parts to reposition and rotate is total chaos. also worth mentioning that mouse1 is the same hotkey for ejaculation, i get random coom all over the place during posing. i think we need some kind of toggle key for posing and normal operation. like, press X swap between posing controls, and normal operation.

the only thing that makes TF worth the $$$ right now is the fluid simulation. the dynamic specular map for flowing liquids is simply unheard of. (trails of wetness left behind on the skin.) for this alone it's truly ahead of every other 3D adult game.

You nailed it first thing you will be wondering about is click hold left mouse for moving parts and in the same time it causes a massive performance brakedown because you trigger the cuming it makes 0 sense from a logic point of view and you really wonder what the intention is behind this setup.

tough for the penis direction (targeting) you can actually use the right mouse hold and fire with the left once the target is acquired

Yes more then 2 characters can choke in VAM for several reasons but you have no idea yet how it will be in True Facials when more then 2 characters cum into play yet

Also someone taking left cum stains on clothes in a Realtime simulation into account is unheard of same for the Hair shot interaction, even without those it's amazing but both additional results are a nice bonus in the complete visual Implementation result.
Everything just fits visually extreme nicely together and looks and behaves very coherent as a overall Realtime result progression.

All those current Unreal Results you see like the typical used more advanced cum result in Silicon Lust are just looking funny (Paint Cum) vs Henrys PBR work results and don't cut it anymore either.

Even Captain Hardcores (Nvidia implementation) results fall so heavily apart when you compare them (Milk Cum).

And extreme decal Performance fakes like in Wild Life they are just totally oldshool and out of date.

I can't wait to see what Devolution is going to present here he did a good Squirt result and with some slight modification it could endup also being a pretty decent cum result.

PS: Aerith and Tifa are lower Performance due to their more complex Hair results, 2 B is lower resource intensive on that part having a pretty average mesh hair complexity with 0 physics going on totally static unrealistic hair.
